As a Carpenter, I refuse to install pre stained wood. It causes it to warp and make building anything straight a complete nightmare. Whats good for the painter is horrible for the craftsman. Love this channel, has taught me everything I know about painting

i spray all my stain with a cup gun or a pressure pot . thin with lacquer thinner or mineral spirits depending on how much i want it to absorb. after i seal it i spray more stain thinned with acetone . this way i can tone them all the same color. this is definitely a good application for fenceing and 2 x4

who even builds their own fence nowadays? i mean its good for there was a big market but 99% of the time people either go plastic or buy 6-8 foot pre made sections. but i wouldnt mind trying out their stain. Painting trim boards seems very interesting for a first coat

I think that unless you are staining boards day in day out it is probably more effective to spray the fence or deck after it is built.
