If you print your pattern and cut them out by hand, I would suggest using Copper Foil or Lead Pattern Shears. They are designed to remove a thin strip from your pattern as you cut to mimic the space filled by the Foil or Lead Came once applied.

The only time i cut glass was back in engineering workshop, we had to cut glass. We were adding oil would help with cutting the glass and which i feel like it actually does, but in your case maybe you'll have to do additional cleaning. Can you please try lubricating the glass with water and cut the glass. I've heard that too helps with cutting of the score line on the glass. I want to pick up stained glass as a hobby some day. Keep up the work!

There is oil in the glass cutter (in the handle)

Hi, just starting out. I messed around all day yesterday with a pattern and my glass kept breaking incorrectly. Am I not using the scoring tool properly? What scoring tool do you use/recommend? Thanks so much! Your channel has helped me tremendously

Great content. For my patterns, I just print them out and cut them with scissors. I'll use a glue stick to put them on the glass. It's a cheaper method than sticker paper or a cricut. I use a medium weight paper to make sure it doesn't wrinkle if I have to move the pattern around on the glass. Hope this helps!

I'm just starting out with stained glass art and was wondering if you wear a protective mask when you grind or solder?
@AmayaJade3 ай бұрын
I do!

I'm a few projects into my hobby here and I always wear goggles and a face filter when grinding and soldering. Both have potentially tiny particles that can reach the eyes or lungs.

Is there a reason you do not turn the piece over when tapping the score line? Thank you for these videos, I’m really learning a lot, plus happy memories 😌

Hey Amaya. What setting do you have cricut on for cutting the label paper? I've have explorer 3 and tried the one under the paper heading that says sticker label set. I also tried sticker paper white (grey liner). It did cut but it also cut through the backing paper. I adjusted the blade to less and it still cut through....which setting do you use please

I use the vinyl setting on the explore 2!

@AmayaJade still trying to get my crow cut out without shredding the pattern on the cricut. There's about 15 vinyl settings. Could you let me know which exact vinyl cut works with label paper please 🙏
