I love your positivity when the kids are "helping" you lol. I'm the same with my grandkids. It makes them feel they've really achieved something, which they certainly have. There's nothing as special as spending time with grandchildren for you & them. Precious memories.

@@materialmom-hz3wj I think you're right Angela, & you'll likely be happy you did. The stain soaks deeper into the wood over time, even after it's varnished. It's sure looking good though. *Those foam brushes always disappoint me, yet I end up buying them again~ maybe because I forget in between, after enough time goes buy, errgghh. 🙃

Never use a sponge mop when staining. The layers will not be even.

It was horrible with that sponge brush. I rubbed the stain all in with a rag
