I was right! Stainless steel is the way. 2 points for me: 1. The up stand lip version so the cladding sits into the tray! Yes yes. 2. Would ask for integrated 40mm waste down pipe in s/s about 3 or 4 inches that a compression water trap will fit to underneath . 100% no internal leaks then.. 😎

As a plumber who fits bathrooms all the time plus builds campers as a hobby the tray with the upstand would be the tray of choice in a new build, before your wall lining is fitted. Great choice of a quality product guys. I agree with the crappy plastic trays, they are flimsy and not cheap either. 👍🏼😉
@LeisureBit Жыл бұрын
What a great product - I love products which at the base are simple but create a great application. The attention to detail on earthing - actually so important if you have mains or even static electric (not such an issue with plastic or resin) - cracking (or not as the case may be and why you would have this) - love it - clever fit too as always, brilliant - every day is a learning day. Out of interest is there a reason you didn’t pop some sealant around the bottom of the toilet - prob a great reason but was curious as instinct would say to do that 🚽 Looks amazing! Heavy duty and very practical. All the best, David & Rachel 👍
@UrbanVanlife Жыл бұрын
Cheers bud . The reason I didn’t seal the bottom is if any water was to ever get under then can you imagine the smell after time it would stink . So for that reason I thought just don’t fully seal it

To be honest if we could go back to the start again I’d not have a cassett toilet at all . We would get a decent toilet unit that could be totalt taken out which would be good for making the shower a lot bigger as we could take out the toilet when getting s shower .

Hi,. Bit of the wall Neil, I have Chinese diesel heater fitted in my motorhome, my problem is I can't see the fuel level as the tank is built in the unit,can't get the cover off as it's fitted against the wall and can't get to the screws. When I refill it flows over the cap so constantly got smell of diesel from the spillage. Question to you is it possible to fit larger fuel tank to the door and run a tube into the tank fitted inside the heater, so it becomes like a feeder tank to the heater unit and easier for me to see the fuel tank level and refill. Also any clues for getting the parts and how to do it. Hope you can help ❤️👍 cheers ant

I like it but correct me if I'm wrong please... if you earth that tray and you are using an electric hookup mains shower then really any faults and your killed potentially? Charged water from the top of the shower then going onto you then through you to ground and yeah.... I cant see why it needs to be earthed at all tbh? I guess if something mains powered come into contact with the tray then sure but the chances are nil unless you like to run mains cables under your shower tray..... Happy to hear otherwise though.
@2391Sparks Жыл бұрын
Yes basically if you serve it with an Earth, it’s guaranteed to become live if there’s a fault. It’s be better (considering humans are a high resistance) to electrically separate so it’s nothing more than a harmless piece of metal. Earthing something doesn’t necessarily make it safe or safer, it can make it far far more dangerous..

Stainless will last and never leak but you will have to run the shower to warm up the pan and do they do a tray with slip resistance.

@MultiOutdoorman Жыл бұрын
Farthing, bonding, grounding ... ( all loosely used to incorrectly define the same purpose). Folks who install 230v AC mains in their vans might run supply wiring incorrectly. Chafing of metal on pvc / rubber insulation can cause wiring faults. Bonding extraneous conductive parts ( wet metal shower tray) is crucial to safety. Unless the reader is a genuinely knowledgable/qualified electrician it would be exhaustive explaining the electrical why's and what for's. Even an rcd isn't fool proof unless a n/e bond is in place upstream of the cu. Off grid this becomes the case when the grid earth loop is lost.
