Introducing Woodpeckers new Stainless Steel T-Squares. Our aluminum T-squares have been among our top-selling products for years. Woodworkers love the accuracy of the scales and the convenience of the scribing guides. But we also have a growing group of customers who love the patented saw-tooth scribing guides, thin blades and satin finish of our stainless steel squares…so to keep everyone happy, we've incorporated that blade design into three new Stainless Steel T-Squares. Now you can use any type of marking tool to draw lines perfectly parallel to your material edge and enjoy the readability of our satin-finished stainless steel blades while working with a smaller, centrally located head.

This would be perfect if it had some sort of stainless lips to prevent tipping. I rely on that a lot with the other squares. The longer the blade, the more likely it is to catch and tilt, messing up the line. I could even see it tilt in this video a few times.

Really like the stainless steel blade on my squares, so this looks like a great add to the line up. Any reason not to extend a section of the steel on the head back over the workpiece to create a lip like on the aluminum version? Also, are the head lengths the same as the aluminum t-squares?

Yeah, this has me concerned. When using the Aluminum squares, having lip support is important to drawing a stable line while sliding. While the steel body is likely to hold a larger portion of the weight than on the all aluminum square, it seems like it could be an issue. It's something they almost certainly can't change now, but it could have had a tab extend back through the aluminum head on each side. I love the Woodpeckers stainless steel tools, but I would like to feel confident that this is an upgrade.
