Very interesting. The gags don't seem as dated as some of the other recordings of the era. You're providing a great service to those of us interested in humour.

There are a couple of gags in the first track that I've heard in later 50s/60s material so the old ones are best! :) Glad you are enjoying the uploads.

Stainless Stephen was very big in his day, the 20s-40s but largely forgotten now like so many. Coming from Sheffield he took the name 'Stainless' Stephen and wore a stainless teel rim around his bowler hat. His style was to pronounce the punctuation marks in his speech, so that he said coma, full stop brackets etc when speaking. Big star of BBC radio in the 30s. Only released 4 records that I know of and only two widely commercially so not much of him about these days.
