Thanks for this! I need to build something exactly like this for the workshop I've been building and honestly the thought of building stairs is a little frightening. I've figured out how to do everything else so far, but it just seems like so many details that you need to get exactly right. I'm a perfectionist so it's extra stressful. I'll get your book on stairs/landings asap. Quick question: As someone that's never built stairs before, would prefer using LVLs over 2x12's? I hate fighting cupping, warping splitting, etc. I've seen over the span of my build just how twisted some boards end up after drying out and don't want to have to revisit the stairs to fix problems later.

Hello, I am just viewing these videos (6/2024) and am wondering can I use both the carry beam and it's support post as part of the structural components of my "L" turn staircase?
