Beautiful. The conductor is a master at arranging this music . Who would have thought Led Zeppelin could sound like this.
This beautiful performance is a testament to the musical genius of Jimmy Page. Page is like a 20th Century Mozart.
@nmappraiser99262 жыл бұрын
I mean, not really. It's a pretty song, but the orchestral performance kind of underscores how repetitive it is. Mozart probably would have written more than the same four chords for five minutes with a different four chords for the bridge. This is more like when Salieri wrote that little fanfare the first time Mozart was introduced to the king. And then a maestro came in, and stunned everyone in the room by rearranging it and turning it around. Stairway is a funny little tune, but it yielded some good things.
@rixxortiz87442 жыл бұрын
@@nmappraiser9926 the orchestra is doing more enphasis on the vocal line than the actual guitar part, however the song works under the rules of modern music structures, even breaking a little bit of it, it has different changes in contrast to most songs of modern times, the first verses use 6 chords with a change every end of the , the first change that im not sure it can be considered a bridge, maybe a second type of verse, uses another 4 chords with a variation each lap, switching between C, D, F and A, to C, G and D, then the chorus, another progresion of 3 chords and then you have the bridge to the solo and the solo which are completely different(of course i just simplified the chords, they're not actual simple major chords), id say for a recent kinda comercial song, its pretty "classical" but i think it may resemble a little bit more to a beethoven melody than mozart

Waaay back in the late 60s or early 70s, Arthur Fiedler was the first conductor to bring rock music and classical together. He had concerts every Wednesday night on the Esplanade on the Charles River in Boston. My (then) fiancé and I went every week. Fiedler also was the one to combine the fireworks with July 4th celebration. I was fortunate enough to be at his concert on the Esplanade on July 4th, 1976 for the 200th anniversary of US Independence. It was magnificent!

I looked into the sky. Whenever people cried on earth, clouds gathered and rain fell. Every time children on earth laughed, the sun shone with rays of joy. Every time someone gave comfort to a fellow human being, summer winds swept across the fields. Every time someone forgave their fellow man, the sparrows sang songs about the liberation of the heart. And the stars shone brightly, though it was day. And the rainbow on the horizon testified to peace on earth.

I’m usually very critical of Zeppelin “redos” because they’re just not arranged properly. I don’t “feel” them the same way as the original, or they sound & feel like “Muzak” which is nothing but an insult to the “enth” degree of Page/Plant’s talents! Not THIS! It’s EXTREMELY WELL DONE!
