Many thanks for your responses! , is the stakeholder register controlled document ( require change request) ? how can we change it? can we change it without changing the engagement plan in case of new stakeholders? What should we change first: the engagement plan and then the stakeholder register? In case we have new stakeholders. Many Thanks

The stakeholder register (if you use one) is the master document with all your core stakeholder information. You can't address changes to a stakeholder plan until you have identified the new stakeholder, but you could update them both (if you have both) together. I would not have this as a 'controlled document' in the sense of needing a change request. But I would have it under version control. Modern document management tools do this automatically. If you are using something like a spreadsheet, then I'd suggest adding a version number to the filename: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lYC7m2t4fN2Bhrs

This is a great question, Wali. I always think a strong process is the start of doing things well - and I have spelled that out in the video. But the other ingredient, which isn't always fashionable, is diligence. You have to enter into your project with a determination to engage effectively. To listen hard to your stakeholders and properly review what you learn from them. Then, you need the perseverance and diligence to follow through on that commitment. And that can be hard, especially when: - you are under pressure to be 'doing', or when - what you are hearing is not what you 'want' to hear - for whatever reason You also ask about balancing competing service requirements. This is about scoping, which is the hardest part of project management (I think). It's too big a topic to go through here, but do look for our complementary videos in this series on: 1. Hi, i I am a little bit confused with the naming of PMP study hall questions, a lot of questions contain - the stakeholder's management plan, whereas in PMBOK is a stakeholder engagement plan. And no the stakeholders management plan. are they the same things?

PMI started using the term Stakeholder Engagement in the Stakeholder Domain of its PMBOK Guide 7th edition (so, rather late, compared to many others of us). It's possible that your study hall is using older questions. However, I (not PMI) refer to a Stakeholder Engagement plan and I also refer to the process of managing stakeholder engagement as stakeholder engagement management. It is possible that PMI still refers to a stakeholder management plan. I don't like that, but they set the rules for their own exams. But remember, they are just one (but the biggest) of the many PM organizations around the world.
