@ Running your own node has a high financial threshold of 1m ADA before it becomes profitable. And a higher learning curve than the one click node on algo. Algorand needs only a fraction of it for profitability. Delegated model isn’t so well prepared for potential upcoming regulations, not sure whether you have followed the entire contignent staking debate on cardano a year ago. Moreover, algorand won’t have epochs, you get paid in the moment you minted a block. Not saying Cardano is badly designed, it is decent and i liked it, but i think that here is a game changer.

Yeah that was the fault of MyAlgo's web provider API not being very well protected. It had nothing to do with Algorand foundation or inc. I had a ledger attached to my wallet and my funds are safe. Nothing Algorand Foundation can do unfortunately. This is Web3 and so far it is up to each individual to protect your own funds. Get. Ledger, Trezor or whatever other hardware wallet you like.
