Absolutely brilliant audio book. Stalingrad arguably was the most important event in the 20th century. When two superpowers simply will not budge something had to give way, this also disproves the simple logic of sheer numbers, the russians although ruthless and cared little about combat losses, tactically the Russian high command are just as good as any western or German commander. This book also Highlights man's inhumanity towards man. I truly believe the war on the eastern front should be compulsory in every school.

The aircraft involved in the Mechelen incident was a Messerschmitt Bf. 108 Taifun and not a Fieseler Fi 156 Storch "identical" to it?

Glantz is great but only for war buffs or specialists....
