The point is they added a sniper rifle at the same spot in the game, the point isn't the same building existing in both games, or existing in real life, it's the sniper rifle. It is a direct reference to CoD 4 "One shot, One kill" mission.

But in GSC's defense, they went through several problems during the game's development, including a war, the loss of their office, moving, and they are focused on at least trying to bring a quality game. There is an optimization problem for A-Life to work properly, which would make it impossible for owners of more modest GPUs to use it. Anyway... I'm still giving credit. GSC and Valve still know what they're doing, it seems to me.

That's the cost of making massive open world games without prior experience devs, they're not Rockstar, something need to be cut back and bugs are inevitable. CDPR forced to release early because of the pressure from investors and GSC ran out of money because of decade long development. Even then those games are released at 90% ready with zero microtransaction. If you have a decent PC or PS5, cyberpunk is mostly bug free at launch. Shadow of Chernobyl was also broken at launch, Stalker 2 forced to cut back alife to optimize for Unreal 5.

Also, I personally enjoy the lack of transportation options as while you’re walking you’ll likely come across different locations to explore or you’ll walk into a fight between people and mutants (Though I will say sometimes enemies will just kinda spawn on you in the middle of nowhere).

While it may seem like an apologists view, I've been heavily critical of the game in private company. I still adore Stalker 2 and am absolutely ecstatic for its future.

Stalker games has a history of easter eggs that pay homage to developer's favorite game. In SoC you can find a dead stalker named Freeman and the Gauss Rifle is a direct reference to Fallout 2.

There is a game called "Chernobylite" that also takes place in the zone. They also feature the so-called "Palace of Culture Energetik" exactly like in Stalker 2 and COD (something I was not aware of :) ). Same goes for the curved walkway to the hotel Polissya

The game doesn't really work with sniper rifles at all yet, because most of the enemies spawn at point-blank range and the bullet drop off is extreme even at said distances
