Is here melee only by holding a knife or you can also punch someone by a gun?

You can also quick melee when holding a weapon usually using the stock of the firearm. Its just a standard melee attack no special animations. Other is knife enabling quick / heavy attacks also able to stealth takedown.

@@АппетитнаяВафля Quick melee attack ( when holding a weapon ) - press V. Knife - selection through weapon wheel (Tab) or quick access press 1. -> Left click - quick strike , Right click - heavy strike.
