Played as it should be. But dude - google for some polish STALKER 1 vids - we had a narrator from 70-80s TV. You heard Ukrainian voices and the narrator just like some old movie. Damn, that got me into that game instantly. It's surreal. I wish we hade something like that with STALKER 2 as an option.

the ending of this video assaulted my emotions in a really unsuspected way because i have never seen your channel until this very video when you mentioned latvia as the video took a much more serious turn….my heart dropped i am american but…my grandparents and relatives were / are latvians in ww2 my grandfather and his brother fought the soviets and lived forever haunted, alcohol soaked lives after as refugees who could never return home my grandmother died crazy, still lamenting the destruction of her home blown to shreds by russian bombs in the re-capturing of latvia my grandparents best friend in the neighborhood, also a latvian refugee? his wife killed one of her own sons with a hammer in 1956 during a psychotic episode in which she believed orcs had surrounded the house. she also died crazy, in a mental hospital all during my american childhood i could never understand why all the adults were so sorrowful and dark. not until i grew up and now with this extremely special limited edition military operation i get to see these exact horrors they spoke of, brought back to life in 4k anyway stalker 2 fuckin rocks. i can’t wait to see where it goes subscribed

Yeah A-life is lacking pretty hard.. ESPECIALY if you make a trip from DUGA to MALICHITE back and forth to deliver loot, at that point you notice the spawnpoints VERY clearly!

This is the kinda of deep dive I keep on coming back to. Your Hyper Critical review of Starfield got me hooked on how you conduct yourself in these long form essays, but with STALKER 2 you highlight how the game also opens up topics beyond just game design and development. Seeing you reference the Threat Interactive videos and content was especially redeeming, and it worries me that the video games industry is headed towards such a lazy , homogenous future of upscalers and poorly design game engines like UE5. GSC is still a double-A studio trying to shoot for the triple-A altitudes and to have the many many rugs pulled out from underneath them (from UE5 issues to the 3 Day Special Military Operation), during the development of STALKER 2, just breaks my heart for the team involved - I always pay my respects to the credits for any consumable media that I enjoy, but your experience with this game's credits puts this in a whole new light. Many thanks for your efforts in completing this Hyper Critical review, your visual gags, and your Bandit (Blyad!) - I loved this piece. P.S. Shoutout to the snippets you referred to - from Task & Purpose, to Reporting from Ukraine, to LazerPig (did not expect that last one ahah)

Mercs aint westerners bruh, that is just a folklore done by popular mods. They have a mix of a dark/edgy way of expressing them selfs in RU/UA with a bit of military slang yk

@TheYamiks I guess. I don't mind mods opening the doors for more possibilities but them NOT speaking russian is a red flag for me. They are something of a Wagner/Azov/other azbuka speaking country PMC. I would be OK with mods replacing mercs with another more western open PMC faction, but don't touch the mercs as they are imo. They fit the scene really well and I feel making them western isn't a way to go. I might have a conservative opinion, but it stands xd

The weapon texture jiggle is due to precision issues. The further you get away from 0, or the absolute center of the map, the more 0s are tacked onto the math needed to make the game run. This causes a loss of precision and thus texture warbling occurs. A notable example of this is seen in Halo Infinite.

Honestly I like it, the originals had the same good and bad things pretty much, the biggest thing is the lack of a life and blatant spawns, it'll take a while but I'm sure they'll figure it out, honestly not like it matters cause we'll eventually get the overhaul mods the likes of anomaly which will pretty much polish any bad things the game has going on, overall seeing the years of souless remakes we've had lately they did pretty good

After 200 hours of letting the game break and enduring it, I uninstalled it today. My character got psi damaged inside slag heap. Went to the doctor and he reduced it and it immediately came back, I was wearing no armor and had nothing in my inventory apart from quest item. They can cook it a bit longer.

Unoptimized has a caveat. So first I played with i5 and 16g ram. The game was crashing in big npc areas, it was maxing my ram and crashing. But I upgraded 32 ram and a i9 and now the game runs very well. Its a very demanding game on hardware.

Something else i've noticed about the sound design compared to say, RDR2. Not only the foliage but the difference between stomping through grass, gravel and puddles. No splishy sploshes. I guess it's not that important compared to the rest of the content but it would add to the atmos and immersion. Hopefully later.

Well, it absolutely can't be denied what Russia did influenced their development, it objectively did, but I'm glad despite that you showed both positives and negatives of the game fairly. I noticed a lot of reviewers online were going very soft on it because of that, completely ignoring optimisation, bugs, and some elements being rushed. The game should be rated for what it is, even when it's fully understandable why it is like that. The difference is that this time we can blame a bald ass in kremlin and his army of corrupted generals for commiting very stupid decisions for it, while in games like Starfield it's just greed and incompetence.

@@TheYamiks in game only music used but it actually a song. And rights for the song belongs to Nikita Nadykov (i may be wrong). He actually not bothered by the fact that song is shared freely. But in case of Ukraine it may be used to milk extra resources from GSC. Consider it as layer of extra awareness. Or i may be totally wrong and it is just GSC do not want to put rusian songs/music, which is not wrong anyway.

What's sad for me, is that I'm not even a Stalker fan....but I DID like seeing a first person shooter that WASN'T a massive "OOH-RAH" US Military love-fest. STALKER 2 is my first S.T.A.L.K.E.R experience and I love it so far as an German tbh I feel your statement Shooter campaigns are unlikely to be somewhere interesting it’s all about giving you an impulse, I gave stalker 2 a shot because I love the Metro Video Games and through the Pictures on XBOX it immediately catchet me, yes the game has optimization problems and the AI Does not work it just exist and the English Voice Over is bad but the Game at its core is amazing the idea is perfect the loot System a bit too overwhelming except for the Weapons and stashes but looting enemies it’s too much some have like 6 Medikits on them and I play on Stalker difficulty I could go one difficult higher without a problem and still be overpowered, Enemies are literally eating up the bullets like cereal but the gun fights are easy even in the woods against 6 Wards

I couldnt watch the entire video but I watched many of it's parts and while you did miss a few huge flaws with the game, it has so many it wouldn't make any difference. Thanks for the vid it's nice to not see a bootlicker content creator who is terrified he won't get the game for free if he says even one bad thing about it. and yeah....this game would have earned them a goldmine. Instead, they barely break even and then ask why. What a joke greed makes everything into.

if you loot properly economy is fine (i mean "suck" everything out of the area you are in using 'map genie' LoL) you get plenty of credits to run top armor, armor piercing rounds and best guns - always. but carrieing everything back is a pain and "tekes you out of the game" voices are bit trash yes. why are they british lol😂 sometimes you fight loads of enemies, then more turn up, then 3 bloodsuckers, then more people to fight and then an imission heppens. like game just overwelms you with enemies and mutants. also if you dont side with the right people it kinda breaks the game . like i cant even approach the chem factory base whithout getting oneshot. it does not "cool down". jus feels broken. and i m at the end of the game and it's permanent rain like it wont stop raining 😂 i give this game 8 out of 10 but i want to give it 10 so much . but couple things do take away from experience. will replay this 2 years later😢
