@@zedus4042 but you know now having beaten the stalker campaign, it is so unbelievably larger than Metro's which is already pretty large. With a larger map as well, working under hostile conditions. I have to give it to them. Stalker does seem to have better details in the textures at least. Maybe they will be able to improve over their work in the coming time. Pretty sick game

@@donatopirrod yeah well, it definitely must've been tough working under such conditions so there's respect to that plus of course, the game has its qualities but as an overall product, it's nothing special. It has good things in it but I'd say it has no exceptionally great things plus some aspects are outright not finished. And obviously when it comes to certain aspects of graphical fidelity like object/vegetation density, render distance, texture resolution, etc, it's undoubtedly more advanced than Exodus but that's to be expected considering the release date gap between Exodus and Stalker 2. Having artistically mature, professional looking game is way harder to achieve than to have a game with great graphical fidelity.

Yes, the metro game series was inspired by stalker. part of the stalker team left to make this series of games when the sequel was canceled for the first time.

Metro Exodus is one of my favourite FPS games of all time! It is more similar to Half Life 2 than any other game. The story is great, graphics is mindblowing, characters are great! Stalker 2 is very different but I dont think it can replace the Metro Exodus experience.

Here's the thing, visually speaking, more or less the only thing Stalker 2 has over Metro is higher resolutions of textures and higher vegetation density, those things just come as time goes on obviously because of advancements in hardware tech allowing for more demanding stuff but artistically? Art direction and color pallet is just undoubtedly way better and tastefully done in Metro, Exodus just looks so much more natural and right when it comes to overall vibe, atmosphere, colors and whatnot. Of course, can't talk about Exodus without mentioning the fact that its Enhanced Edition is still the only game ever with *infinite bouncing ray traced global illumination* and that makes its lighting ridiculously good and absolutely way ahead of its time. Stalker 2's color pallet lot of the times just straight up looks ugly, hell, original Stalker game from 2007 even though is heavily outdated when it comes to graphical fidelity, it still has more realistic and natural looking colors than Stalker 2. Not to mention that Stalker 2 is terribly optimized game though that's not necessarily a new thing for UE5 slops, game also has lot of aspects that are just unfinished/unpolished like AI for example. As an overall package, Metro Exodus isn't just any game, it's a piece of art, has extremely beautiful visuals and atmosphere, good writing and great story and beautiful sound tracks. It's a masterpiece. Of course it has its own flaws absolutely, like very unnatural, not the greatest voice acting, a bit bad facial animations, a bit clunky movement and maybe some things that I'm missing but those things are overshadowed by all the greatness.

Metro wins, Hard core STALKER fan here but i can't let interests in previous games and lore overshadow the terrible performance on STALKER 2, The specs on the game/discord are misleading imo, Rocking a RTX 3080 10GB VRam, Ryzen 7 3800x, 32GB Ram, 3 TB SSD, According to the games specs i should be able to run this on high settings at 2k with a consistent 60 FPS , That is not true at all... Go anywhere near NPCs number more than 5, Any HUB or important locations with NPCs like the first village or Rostok and i see myself at 40 FPS, I tied minimal settings also no noticeable improvements even performance mods, Nobody wants to use FSR Gen for obvious reasons input lag which gets significantly, worse in said location above Meanwhile Metro on mostly max setting with ray tracing i'm sitting over 100 FPS, I think that's should say enough.

Comments appear to forget Exodus came out in 2019,its over 5 years old at this point. Ofc STALKER 2 would look better,it'd be crazy if it didn't. I still prefer the look of Exodus though,and it holds up even to today imo. STALKER 2 has been fun so far despite the bugs,but visibility can be a pain,especially since enemy AI have no problem honing in on you with no issue,Exodus never felt like it had issues like tht thanks to its slightly more stylized approach. Still,glad both franchises exist,as they're fun in their own different ways.

Sorry not sorry but Stalker 2 is better than metro. The gun play is so much better and scratches that itch in terms of gun nut immersion. Plus being able to customize firearms, armor, and explore to my hearts content and all the other parts of immersion sprinkled in really puts the icing on the cake.

Stalker's setting is originally older then Metro's, so it's quite an opposite of what you've said. Overall Stalker came out first, the biggest difference is that Metro games had a literature background and Stalker is somewhat a combination between real life events, a book and a movie, creating sorta lore.

Stalker 2 is actually top 4 best graphically looking games to date. Look up the maxed 4090 4k gameplay, especially later in the game in the swamp area the sights are insane.

Metro and STALKER are very similar but how they’re executed is WILDY different from each other. Metro is essentially Russian Half-Life while STALKER is essentially Ukrainian fallout (bad example but you get the point)

Metro has better visual design, graphics, physics, AI, weapons upgrades system, level design, story and plot. Stalker has crashes, glitches, broken ai, very uncomfortable map navigation system. It should be fast travel by the map using clicking map markers like in all other open world games. Even mod for free travelling without money doesn't fix the problem cause travellers are located in only main villages, towns or bases. It's not possible to fast travel to any white marker on the map (see far cry 5 as an example of perfect open world game).
