Unfortunately it's not real 3d scopes, more like 2.5D, It simulates the zoom by resizing and offsetting the original frame, instead of creating a new one from the scope point of view. You can see how it still zooms image outside of the scope. Good for performance but not really immersive

Real scopes require dual rendering, which is super performance intensive. Even STALKER 2 doesn't have them lol.

@bruhvenant if the game runs 100+ fps, then a performance hit of 30% is not that tragic, and many can accept the cost. I played dual render scopes in the past and liked it a lot. But in general, it shouldn't be so performance heavy. Blur the out of scope frame and render it in a lower resolution. Use a mask to discard pixels on top of the scope. The frame inside the scope also doesn't have to be full resolution either bc it only takes approximately 80% of the final frame. STALKER 2 has disastrous performance, so 99% of users are not willing to sacrifice performance for anything yet

I tried to install 3D scopes, cuz I wanted make GAMMA look more realistic... But I'm a goddamn potato and Idk how to properly install the mod and comfigure it 😅

I don't think it will work it uses blur effects to make some of the scopes work. But you can always try.

So far only Gamma modpack managed to have good 3d scopes for acogs and elcans and much more

I'm using UGP's 3dss with gamma, the 3dss works fine, but the only problem is the actual scope inside doesn't render, leaving the scope black. Any idea why? Can't find anyone with a solution, hoping someone can help

try to load it with high priority and try to delete the cache shader see if that helps

@@ILiveintheZone The main one causing issues was I had forgotten that I had installed one of the mods that changes scope reticles. Something like "scopes and retiles extravaganza". Also, for whatever reason, Meowie's SKS rework (adds new sks, more optics) didn't work for me. Don't have anything that messes with it, but just didn't work for me. Hope you get it working, lmk if you have issues I can try an help, but tbh 3dss has had a couple updates sense I installed

PC's Hard drive kicked the bucket lost all my Anomaly mods worse is now my Updated Modded Exe wont work with 3d shader scopes when you aim down it's a tube no reticle or glass.

3d shader scope is new it has same performance as 2d shader scope.

2d shader scope for me. 3d scopes shaders is cool but in stalker anomaly/gamma/efp they have performance impact. my pc can handle it but you can feel the sudden fps drops and input lag.

Thats not a 3d Scope its a PIP scope a picture in a picture , What I showed is different. The Pip has to render the picture twice thats why it lags. The 3d shader scope that I showed it uses the same performance as 2d scope shader.

This is something that bothers me about people making kids for something they know very little about. At 1:20 when you are using a scope in real life you are suppose to adjust how close your eye is to the opening of the scope so that there is _zero_ black around the edge of the inside of the scope. Any black like that and you are too far from the opening.

You have to understand that the game has some engine limitations so things will never be 100% realistic
