This S.T.A.L.K.E.R Anomaly mod brings elements souls style games to Stalker. Upon death your are rescued by a random Stalker in the zone. They bring you back to the set last spawn location where you awake to find a message from them about how you were found and the lengths they may have gone to to get you to a safe place. The items that were on your character must be retrieved, some can be lost and condition degraded all depending on settings.

FEATURES
100% Customizable experience through MCM
Upon death
Respawn locations can be set at any bed
Stash with some or all of the players items drops on the ground.
Item condition/loss scales based on rank in order to not hinder the players early game progress.
Item condition degrade each death (configurable).
Item loss % applied each death (configurable).
Lost items can be found on nearby enemy NPCs (configurable).
Players must heal upon respawn (configurable).
Time will pass to simulate recovery.
The player will be hungry and/or thirsty at respawn based on the time passed.
Your PDA will be updated to show where the relative position is of your corpse.
Dynamic message from your rescuer will be sent to you to explain what happened and information about your gear
Player does an inventory check and lists everything missing upon retrieving your gear
Hardcore save mode where you can only save by sleeping (sometimes requiring sleeping pills) and respawning.
Hardcore save mode only keeps around 1 save file.
Ability to use campfires to save (configurable)

i played a similar concept in a fallout overhaul modpack and I've been annoyed that it wasn't in gamma since i started playing it because its so much more fun that the standard respawn and repeat the same events or die forever. thanks for making it i reckon i will enjoy the game twice as much as before

Yea boi this is the gud shit. Ironman is too punishing in gamma because death can come so quickly. Campfire saves are worthless because there is so many campfires everywhere. This is the perfect balance. I lost all my gear in a brutal psy-field and now I cant get it back until I have some ruthless psy resistance because its basically instant death. Back to the TOZ and leather jacket for now.

The only issue i see with this are potential crashes. I've experienced quite a few, especially when looting stalker bodies (i have mags redux enabled) and crashing would mean going back a significant amount of time-progress back. I know i could use hardcore mode with campfire saves to mitigate this to a certain degree, but this also defeats the purpose (as you said yourself). There are also some other points i want to make are, so: 1. Add game crash saves, if possible? 2. Disable save loading while in combat - if you survive, then you can make a decision to load a save and sacrifice your time and progress, but you cant just quit while fighting. If you alt-f4 the game, it should count as death and respawn you on next load - the only exception could be, again, crash detection. 3. Options in MCM to keep a currently equipped gear based on its type (light, medium, heavy, exosuit) and slot. In example, you could opt to keep your armor and helmet if they are light or medium types (it would make sense if your saviour kept these on you while dragging you to safety) but make you retrieve these along with the rest of your gear if they were heavy or exo (too heavy to drag/carry you with them on). Same for weapons, you could keep weapons/items put in binoculars/knife slots, enabling you to potentially keep your sidearms, same for items in quickslots and artifactslots - if you could add a compatibility with mags redux mod to keep magazines added to loadout/armor slots, that would be amazing, although i know its far fetched.

Hi, I have a question regarding the saves. In the video you gave an example of grenades landing at your feet. What if: Before the grenade explodes, I hit "escape" and load a previous save? That would save me the hassle from going through the entire process of retrieving my gear, right? In a way, it can be considered cheating, if you get what I mean - because I'm working around the mod's features Is it possible for a feature that: - disables all manual saving - autosaves every minute (or maybe less - better if it's every 3 seconds, but that would kill performance I think) and overwrites all existing saves - so that you're 100% committed to your playthrough? With this, even if you reload a previous save (which would be an autosave), it would still be seconds before your character's death - ultimately forcing you to engage with the respawn mechanics of this mod

I'm not gatekeeping the saves to that degree... If someone wants to exploit the save feature, then they can, its a single player game and its ultimately your own experience not mine. I can only present a way to play, if you choose to circumvent it then that is on you.

At 4:20 you said 5% of 18 is about 3 (3.7 on screen). 5% of 18 is 0.9. How did you get 3.7? I am guessing it has something to do with the ranking system.

It's 5% scaling from a base value (not 100). I see that it can range between 0.32 and 3.72 but not knowing the base value is what is throwing me off. If I ignore that and just look at the graph it makes sense. I like math but maybe not as much as you do haha.
