Of course, the idea is to improve and so I came back to your video to try to connect the great tutorial that this is with my non-existent memory, and hands, arms, feet that never seem to fancy doing what my walnut sized brain is telling them to do. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this again. That is one of the perks of having almost no short/medium term memory, everything feels so fresh and new ;) However, as you can tell, it really did get my hair off at how lop-sided the value proposition is with YT. I'm not sure it works for me. Or has a recent update to DCS changed things? I put this into 'target' field in the shortcut... "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\DCS.exe" --affinity=f After the end quotation mark, is it <space><dash><dash>affinity<equals>f ? Is it case sensitive, f or F? It seems to accept it and runs DCS, but how do you tell DCS is only running 4 CPUs? In Resource Monitor I have 16 CPU's showing, all of them have some activity but 4 of them seem to have the most activity. It's an i7-13700F CPU.

Does anyone else here have an MSI nvidia RTX 4060 Ti card? I have one that came with a Costco “gaming PC” with i7-13700F, 32GB Ram, 1TB SSD and MSI MB. It seems like it has most trouble in Mission Editor. Every so often it just starts a series of freezing up for 15 to 30 seconds. Looking at Task Manager, performance, the CPU is running about 5 GHz but only 15-20% busy, with one core continuously at 100%. The graphics card is at about 90% when it’s running smoothly, and drops to 15-40%, up and down, while the video is freezing and hesitating. And there’s a lot of corrupted video outside of the ME window. This all in VR.

5 years late, but thank you for this tutorial! Incredibly helpful! I have one question that I have failed at finding an answer for, sometimes TCN does not appear on my SA DDI. I have my tacan set to the boat and can see all its info, but the option to box TCN is not there. I think it’s just a SNSR option(?). Any tips for getting a more consistent tacan setup? I have no problems running F-16, MiG 21, Mi 8 and other modules on high graphics but as soon as i step into the f14 all hell breaks loose. Realy hard stuttering even on low graphics.

Yea boi this is the gud shit. Ironman is too punishing in gamma because death can come so quickly. Campfire saves are worthless because there is so many campfires everywhere. This is the perfect balance. I lost all my gear in a brutal psy-field and now I cant get it back until I have some ruthless psy resistance because its basically instant death. Back to the TOZ and leather jacket for now.

Not clear what to do here to me, I'm on the Oculus RiftS and there's nothing here about how to do it with that. Do I still need Open XR? Or use Oculus Mirror? And Nvidia card information but no AMD card info.

How do you capture frames in DCS using renderdoc? I'm trying to capture, the DCS starts, but the frames are not captured, and the API line says none. Does frame capture work for you on the current version of DCS 2.9?

I have a NVIDA RTX 3090 and not able to turn DLSS on? I have changed to the (Open Beta), then launch from MT Preview, but still not able to view in my Oculus 3.

I started playing DCS last week and was having this really nasty stuttering every 4 or 5 secs, to the point it was simply unplayable. I know I have a mid-tier PC, but anyways I searched all over the web for fixes and realized it's a pretty common issue even on very high-end machines. Tried all suggestions and fixes and nothing worked until I just bought an NVMe SSD disk and installed the game there. I was running the game from an HDD. No more stutters, even with all graphics cranked to the max I get solid 50/60 fps with zero stutters. The game now runs perfect. It's mindblowing how easy it was to fix the problem (not cheap though lol). My specs are: - Ryzen 5 2600X - GTX 1660 Ti (6GB) - 32Gb DDR4 Ram - NVMe SSD WD_Black SN770 1TB

Excellent tutorial Jabbers. 👌 I started out with an IR3 back in 99. Moved up to an IR4 in 2005 and then got the IR5 software to use with the 4 with only the hat clip. So now I've bought a IR5 with the 3 light clip and I'm just getting it going. All these years I've had no problems. Install and run and everything working fine as is. 2 weeks ago the problems started. Just couldn't get it working properly. I decided to search KZbin and found you. What an enlightenment. I had no idea to properly set a Tracker IR. They supply nothing to setup properly. You have saved the day. Now I know what to do to use it with SCS' American Truck Simulator without the 6DOF and my flight sims with 6DOF. Thank you so much. 👍

A lot of the ghosting goes away if you just use DLAA without DLSS, but not all of it. Any other types of AA that actually get rid of jaggies make the cockpit blurry or even unreadable. that's with a 4070 and 27" 1440p monitor.

2.9 ruined my graphics. 4070 and 1440p monitor. Blurry, ghosting, jaggies. Awful.

seems like it would be easy enough to make your own detents or "rumble strips". They don't need to be as fool proof and professional as the supplied ones, just add some tactile feedback as you say.

Got into dcs two weeks afo first the viper then the a10cII. Granted i have been warching ralfidude, gs, hellreign and other cc for a decade. Ive played warthunder for years (and yes that translates to aspects of dcs as warthunder has become more modern over time) I do believe anyone with some general understanding of the aircraft and some systems can pick up even things like the a10cii within a few days of free time. Ill admit having the tm warthog hotas helped out a lot. Mapping controls and keeping in mind what is what is harder then learning the modules (cheatpapers as kneeboard helps, i have written down a page for each module with binds, certain sensors and weapon employment (also different tms/dms etc functions depending on soi) these help me out on the fly a lo) But i do believe i could make work with a hotas with less buttons.

I wondered about the quality of the buttons and switches. Do they have a "quality feel? The tall rotary white buttons looked like they might be wimpy? Is this the flight stick company that has an outlet or store in Fla?

I've always wanted to know if the DelanClip infrared can replace the proclip on TrackIR. I have both devices but was curious to know if I can switch the clips in the event that the TrackIR proclip goes FUBAR.
