That’s why you go into the settings and increase the drop conditions for higher level stalkers. You can set it to where expert and master stalkers have more functioning or completely functioning guns.

The gunplay in this modpack is so sick, and the fact that everyone is carrying WORKING weapons is cool, much better than having the same weapon for 10 hours on a playthrough

Honestly I find both fun, I like finding a gun and repairing it, good sense of accomplishment. But its fun to get away from the gamma grind after a while! While I think stalker anomaly's economy is very easy and quick unlike some people say, but gamma's rng can get annoying.

@@funnyman3030 I honestly haven't played gamma for too long in part because of how long it took to get a new weapon, in Anomaly the repairing system is better because you can find weapons with over 45-50% durability fairly often on stalker bodies. I feel like IWP is the best for combat, you find weapons with very good quality more often than not and enemies don't take 200 shots to the head to kill them. Headshots in IWP are very satisfying for that reason

When I hear these criticisms of Gamma I wonder if we play the same mod at all. Gamma is customizable. These things are fully adjustable in the settings. I always up them myself because I am sick of broken weapons.

​@@sumnik852But why play GAMMA then if you can mod Anomaly yourself. GAMMA is overrated. As a Stalker fan since ShoC release I was never more bored playing Stalker than in GAMMA, even when I adjusted it. Best time I had was when I modded Anomaly by myself, and with this IWP mod.

@@waschbalsam Because modding Anomaly yourself takes absolute ages. And as an adult with a job and wife I do not have time to spend 7 days going through all the addons, then installing everything, then installing patches, then testing it. When GAMMA has what I want. I just remove the mods I don't want, change gameplay difficulty, drops, repairs, economy to my liking and enjoy. I have played through ShoC 3 times, CS 2 times and CoP 3 times. I am not interested in replaying any of them again, and I am not interested in janky Russian ""story"" mods so I make up my own story and RP in Gamma.

I think you can add Absolute Redux and Absolute Nature to COC. Makes the grass look better and the building textures also.

Hey some other mods getting attention how great, it's still sandbox but something different If you guys loved the trilogy here are some mods that in my opinion captured the mysterious feeling of the trilogy: Made by Jekan: Return to the Zone(3 story campaigns and a story extraction mode), Goldensphere OGSR(based on Roadside Picnic), OGSR Legacy(pretty much a remake of ShoC with lots of cut content and user made content). Team V.I.V.E.N.T.: Incubator, Dreamcatcher(sequel to Incubator). They have more great mods but they still are hard to understand Machine translations. zaurus' crew: Apocalipsis Trilogy OGSR, Fallen star(also called "Der gefallene Stern" sequel to A-Trilogy), Last STALKER(sequel to Fallen Star) Creators/teams I forgot the name of: True Stalker(if you don't mind cutscene glassjaw), Dollchan infinity, Road to the north(story/free play hybrid, main story starts at Skadovsk), Path in the Mist, Wind of Time(it starts with timetravel from the year 2114 back to 2014 and has some big twists)

True Stalker was great (the winchester shotgun was awsome and that new region ı forgot the name of was also amazing) but after chapter 4 the last 2 chatpers felt unneccessary/detached and kinda disappointing tbh like random shit happens without you being in control

I do agree with you on the modding making stalker relevant. So many salty purists on the reddit act like it was always popular. Stalker was piss in the wind until the western modding community picked up. The only reason anyone is even paying attention to stalker 2 is because of the good will the modding community has built up for a decade and a half.

Yep. Original and 3rd, are legit good games but with limited re-playability. The hardcore fanbase that currently exists, exists because of mods like misery and anomaly that pushed potential re-playability well over 100+ hours and actually made the game difficult and challenging.

You can absolutely create custom maps, even for mods like anomaly. Do you even think before you type? No one cares about NLC-7, most people don't even know that title is. Majority of people know and understand what anomaly is. That's just a cold hard fact my guy.
