Story companion wise, Val actually makes a great tank here. "Thugadin" Tower shield specialist to lvl 5 - gets rid of atk penalty. Pump points into persuade and add point of str at lvl 4. Lvl 6 multi into thug and make sure to pick up weapon focus earlier and start all the feats for dazzle display shatter defenses, corn. Smash, and eventually dreadful carnage. Thug boosts the effectiveness of this line. After this more levels of tower shield spec as getting to 9 to add shield bonus to touch AC is helpful. But pick up the first lvl of stalwart defender at least. The tower shield fighter levels help with feats. Tower shield specialist lvl 9 Thug lvl 1 Stalwart defender 10 Add in more thug levels up to 3 or 4 if you wish, sacrificing stalwart, but make sure to pick up the feat accomplished sneak attacker for another d6. About the best tank / utility you can get from companions.

20 power 100utility. he tanks and absorbs cc plus keeps the enemies in the same place so you can use spells to get them from afar.

Stalwart Defender is pretty good to top off a Kinetic Knight, as they can remove their own fatigue status & the extra Con synergizes well with Overflow 👍🏾

I know its been a couple of years, but I recently got this game on XB1 and these videos have really helped with buildcraft. Does anyone know if that Rage and Defensive Stance stacking bug still persists?

I enjoy watching your guides. But why are you starting with the special classes although you haven´t finish the main classes = Paladin and Sorcerer are left....just asking

What do you think about mixing this with a Hospitaler?

Ive done the regular paladin and it is great if you take the mercy Remove Fatigue. You can then go into defensive stance, kill, go out of defensive stance and remove the fatigue so you can go to the next group of enemies and go into defensive stance again. Issue with hospitaler might be that the amount you heal from channel will never change.

@@bigb1078 I really want a Paladin tank just because I think they are cool. I am trying to find a way to have one as the main tank on hard with a no-pet party. I was thinking Hospitaler because at level 10, they are immune to Death magic. Levels 10+ I was thinking about Stalwart. It seemed like a good trade off for less Smites. I am less focused on healing

SD most pointless class since you already have Valerie who can also intimidate; maybe if you spec Val into SD
