Not forgotten. Rewatched it like 2 years ago. It was such a great show. The only sad part was the silly character changes on scifi. Glad scifi saved the show, but it sucked losing all the actors. It is a shame they did not have a real ending.

Definitely hard to find on streaming sites - if even on any currently, but plenty of DVD box sets of the entire series are only like 20-30$ on ebay. I grabbed one to rewatch the series every few years as its my favorite show from high school. The DVD sets are not remastered and locked shitty resolution with the crappy 4:3 ratio still, but its all there :)

I believe it was confirmed by the former showrunner that it was intended for the Arturo who ended up dying was the “other” Arturo from the Azure Gate world. Contrary to what fans say that Arturo wasn’t evil, just avaricious and haunted by not following his Quinn when he had the chance I’ve always wondered about the mossed opportunity to bring JRD’s character back in a new series that would be more along the lines of the first season. Oh well..

Oh, I ADORED "Sliders". It was one of the shows me and my Brother (he passed away in 2011 at 34) in the 90s. We watched all the now classics. "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine", "Star Trek: Voyager", "Highlander the series", "Friends" and so many more. I HAVE SO MANY precious memories. "Sliders" as a concept, was fantastic. But, of course, being Fox they had (maybe still?) a habit of putting ratings over quality? Although, you could apply that to most networks and companies? In fact, one of my prized items, is the 2 part "Sliders" comic Jerry wrote. And, they did a TV version as "Just say YES". Science Fiction is, and always has been, a great way, of commenting on real life issues OR the possibilities of the future that WILL happen. Science fiction is the realm of what is to be. NOT what can never happen. The original cast were amazing. So, to hear there was a lot of negatives for them to make the show, is very sad. I hope all of them have learned and moved on from the downsides to have happy memories. Like they gave me when I was a teenager. Feels so long ago now, and YET, still part of me all these years later. Peace and love to everyone here, David

Ah, how simply *wonderful*! It makes a Yank happy to have insomnia so I can catch your new video. Two of my most favorite things, a new STAM FINE video about a favorite TV show - Sliders. Your acerbic wit and dry assessment of these aging series, and then hone in on something every fan of the series at hand would love is extraordinary. 🎉 You sir are an artist. Please continue in your wonderful unique creative way. I’m here for it. And Sliders had the best damned premise at a time in programming where it’s not a streaming miniseries or cancelled after the first season. It’s precious that the series was milked until the teats of the franchise withered and died. What a wild ride, and done by Fox… They were solid. I’m a guy in the NE US, early 50’s. All this stuff is candy for my GenX soul. You even serve gaps in my knowledge where I don’t have the patience or time to digest directly. ❤

Never knew that this show existed, until a couple years ago. Comet TV used to play reruns late at night and I managed to watch a handful of episodes. Its a good watch

@@whitenuttergoku7310 Actually they did. The world where the gate didn't squeak and the Raiders moving back to Oakland was the true earth prime. Tracy Torme even said so.

@jamiecashes Find the first three seasons on DVD and watch it in order, do not waste your time with the non FOX seasons. The only thing to come close to this show is the movie Parallels from 2015. Unironically it is was supposed to get a TV series afterwards and that fell through.

My fav along w Quantum Leap. Even the later seasons (3-5) had some good episodes but the first 2 were good on focusing on alt history

I do vaguely remember enjoying Slider's at the time. Now based off this review I probably only really ever saw the 1st Season as I started Uni in '96 and TV took a back seat for a time. Seems like I probably saw the best of it in all honesty.

I loved that series back then. The Soviet America world was classic.

My most memorable episode was the one where on alt universe was empty because everyone on earth had Slided to another alt universe. This made for duplicates and much chaos and starvation.

I think it’s time, for a new version, of (SLIDERS) show series, to get put into the works now.

I probably only watched the first 4 episodes when it was available on terrestrial television but never fully warmed to it. I loved the concept, liked the characters and it looked decent for a weekly show of the time. It just never fully grabbed me.

I remember being so excited by this show after the pilot. I had seen the Star Trek TNG episode where Worf went to parallel dimensions, and I was awed by the concept. I loved this show on fox, but didn’t have sci-fi so was pissed when it moved. Then I forgot about it.

Another 1990's science fiction series that was stuck in trope-town was _Seven Days_ . Perhaps Stam could analyze that one too.
Cheers (1982-1993). Where Everybody Knows You're Norm.
