I use the “notes” section of CML to identify the location. For example, L10 (which is what is on my outer pocket) stands for “Large stamps, pocket 10.” That way, the order doesn’t matter. The category, mfr, etc makes no difference…I can find easily just looking for L10.

What happens then if the companies deletes the App? I've purchased Apps in the past and all of the sudden they are gone. Also, where do you store the bags that have your stamps?

This was a great video to watch, thank you. I started cataloguing my stamps, dies, embossing folders and stencils many years ago but using an Excel spreadsheet to which I’ve added all the details that are in this system. The only thing I do not have is the photo. I think you’ve converted me to this system. Thank you!

I see your using the Jennifer McGuire storage method that she developed about 10 years ago...It’s an amazing storage idea that she came out with isn’t it! No more digging around for our crafting items because they are so neatly stored using Jennifer McGuire’s method. So nice to see that so many in the crafting community are using it because when I first watched her video of this storage method so many years ago, I knew it was an awesome idea she came up with. Thank you for this video. I downloaded the CML app over a year ago, but haven’t really used it as I’ve felt overwhelmed with the amount of items I need to add. @@sandypandabear21 Yes, because I like to add inspiration photos, and once I'm on a roll it's quicker for me to enter the few fields instead of barcoding and the system possibly not finding it, then I'm back to square one. I suppose if the system had EVERYTHING, I would use it, but it's hit or miss. So, I just get into a groove and enter items manually. I hope that makes sense.

The thin packaging is great to store extra die cuts with the stamp and die sets. Keeps them smooth.

Seems to me that we crafters need to buy less and use what we already have, more wisely. I see these huge collections of different stamps or paints or papers etc and are we REALLY going to use them? Buying craft stash is addictive, it becomes our god. The best stencil storage I've seen is sticking them all up on a wall or back of a door, on magnetic sheeting.

WOW!!! I have to say I love how you stored all of your supplies. I wish I would have seen this years ago. I have stamps and dies and folders but I can’t remember where I got it from and what the name was. So with that being said “Is there a way I could find out by just putting in of what it looks like or what it contains? I have my work cut out for me of starting this now. Love the app, I think my favorite part is being able to get Inspiration to make a card. I have lots of stamps and dies that I never used because I have absolutely no imagination. 😊 Looking forward to hearing back from you to see if you know if there is a way to figure out, what Company made the stamp, die…set I am now subscribed to your channel so happy I stumbled across and seen your awesome ideas😊

I buy a lot of my craft supplies on Marketplace and at garage sales so I often don’t have the original packaging. Is that the problem you are talking about? If so, I’ve had a lot of luck doing a Google search. In the search box there is a microphone icon and a camera icon. Click on the camera, then click on “search with your camera”. Take a photo of the stamp, die set, embossing folder, etc. and it will instantly show you images and info from the web. I hope this helps!!

I have been paying for Color My Life for a ridiculous amount of time and haven’t put everything in because it’s overwhelming due to the sheer number of stamps/dies I have to put in.
