I'm in the process of doing this as well. Thank you for reminding me about the Rubbermaid Bento Boxes, I need something that won't scratch my furniture like the plastic fridge bins. Thanks for showing how to make the dividers, I just brought home a bunch of old book cover files from work to use for dividers. Thanks for sharing.

I know it's been a while, but I use the plastic fridge bins and put felt adhesive pads on the four corners to protect my furniture. Works great!

Thank you so much for sharing your ideas & methods for stamp & die storage, Christina. I am currently overwhelmed by my own collection, and fortunately, I have EVERYTHING you've used for your system in my own craft room right now. So, hi ho, hi ho; it's off to organize I go! Blessings!

I like this storage solution (have seen others like this too). One tip: for the long skinny dies, cut the magnetic sheet into thinner strips, then glue at top & bottom of card, then the die sticks on the magnetic strips. You save a lot on the magnetic sheets that way....cost can add up! TYFS ❤️🦋💜

You can also use the dry erase markers on them.

I absolutely love listening to you and you are very good at presenting in an organized fashion. I have downloaded Airtable and am going to start using it. I will take notes on each part before hand. Thank you again for taking the time to do this.

Thanks for the tip on the clear bags. I have started putting my stamps in clear bags. I do need to make dividers for finding them quickly. Thanks for the file tip too.

Great system, and it seems to work really well. A couple of tips. When you're cutting your cardstock for the inserts, if you cut for the 7" width first, then do the 5.25", you only make 3 cuts, rather than 4 if you do it the other way. I know it doesn't seem like much, but if you multiply that by many sheets, the time savings can add up! Same would go for your dividers. Also, for the pockets when they tear. I just use small pieces of packing tape, and wrap one around the top of each side of the pocket, so that part sticks to the front of the pocket & the other part to the back. Not taping the opening at the top closed, of course. :) That provides just enough reinforcement I find. I have to do that on the storage pockets I get from Ellen Hutson, since I've found they do tend to split/tear along the side seams at the top. Anyway, just thought you & other viewers might be interested in that. Thanks for sharing your storage system!

EXCELLENT VIDEO! Your system looks as good or better (because of the colors) as Jennifer McGuire's & I love the links. The sleeves at Amazon are $13.50 for 200 but you can get 500 for $20. I take it they fit most stamp sets too? Walmart has those bento Boxes 6 for $50 w/free shipping (or $8.30 ea instead of $13.23 at Amazon). I wonder if Amazon does price matches.

I buy the magnet sheets by the roll on Amazon (www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078K2H5JJ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1). It’s a little work up front but I love it. I cut it in half the full length of the roll. Then I cut it into 12x12 and then ultimately into 6x4. There is no waste and I have tons. I bought a roll about 4 years ago and am just now buying another roll.

Could you do this with the tonic studio cardmaking collection. I need to sort mine out as I don’t have craft room. I live in uk so cant get some of the storage stuff you can buy. 😫😫

I do a similar technique as this. However I usually cut the stiff paper in the packaging, with the brand and name on it, and pop that into the envelope. It doesn't look as uniform, tho, but I do not have to make labels. I would like to know how you store your blank cards.

Love this so much!! I am wondering however why you are using two different labeling types.....computer and your hand held one. Mainly asking because Ive been contemplating getting a personal labeler but am not sure if its a must have
@CreationswithChristina5 жыл бұрын
Lori Stoltz thank you. I used mailing labels at first because I had so many to do when I transferred to this system I didn’t want to invest in a lot of label maker tape. since I had mailing labels on hand I used those to get started and now I use my label maker as I get new sets.

i love this video!! I have a ton of older papertrey ink stamps and dies that are stored in the blank CD cases.That's the way they used to sell them. What would you suggest about pulling them out of those cases and using your system? I do't have the heavy acetate to place the stamps on. I guess i would use stays on ink and make them? What would i buy to put them on for heavy duty plastic?
@CreationswithChristina5 жыл бұрын
Darla Whitney Hobby Lobby sells acetate that is acid free. You’ll want to use that so it doesn’t yellow your stamps. You can find it with the art supplies. It comes in a tablet form. That is what I used for mine and didn’t have any problems with it yellowing my stamps. For the artwork. I went to the website and printed out the sets so I didn’t have to stamp out all the images. If you want to stamp on the acetate Stazon is the way to go. Hope that helps.

What brand/type of magnetic sheet do you use? I'm not sure the cut-to-size is strong enough for my dies. But if I put them in the envelopes, I suppose they'll be fine. Anyway, would you let me know about the sheets? And where you purchased them? Thanks so much!!

What brand of laminator do you use ? Enjoyed the video ! For my red rubber stamps I use the clear acrylic DVD cases....same size as Avery pockets. I am looking for a laminator that does not cost too much, but can handle 5mil sleeves...even if you have to send it thru few times. I use printable clear sticker paper from Silhouette, with a copy of my stamped images I want on it from my scanner, and put it on sheets acrylic to have a sheets to attach my clear stamps to....that is how I break up my large stamp sets or odd sized stamp sets to fit in Avery pockets. Was thinking that laminated sheets would be even stiffer than my clear acrylic sheets for this ?

I know you have a question about this posted already, but how do you store Red rubber and cling stamps. I have a few red rubber stamps from stampin up that I don't want to put them on the wood blocks so I'm not sure how to store them
@CreationswithChristina8 жыл бұрын
+Pat Hanuman I keep my SU and red stamps in a drawer. They are not organized at all. Someday I will have to figure out how to keep them stored.
@andrealavigne78248 жыл бұрын
+Pat Hanuman I've found you can actually store cling stamps in these pockets. Not 6x6" background stamps (just because they're too large), but smaller ones. I cut some pockets apart so they are sheets that are a little smaller than the pocket. I stick my cling stamps to the sheet, and slip that in the pocket. I do have the cardstock insert in the pocket, just for added stability. Smaller (A2) sized background stamps will fit as well. Just use one stamp per pocket. I also know that My Favorite Things now has storage pockets for the 6x6" stamps. HTH!

Save on the magnetic sheets and just glue two strips on the card stock. One near the top and one near the middle. Just an idea.
