Really weird ending to the fight, she did take a bunch of unanswered shot without trying do do anything to get out of it, but it just felt weird.

Yes & props to the ref! We don't see this often but it was what was necessary.. a lesser ref might let it carry on in fear of damaging his rep due to never seeing such stoppage therefore letting it carry on.. This is also why I hate when people are constatly defending ufc refs who are constantly making mistakes, saying it's a hard job (not sayin it isn't) when the ONE refs are consistently flawess!

Stamps punches weren't even phasing Srisen. Pretty sure Srisen had no idea why the fight was stopped. If you leave yourself open to repeated shots then they aren't really bothering you enough to defend against. This one should have gone farther.

Look at older promotions like Pride or K-1, they used kickboxing rings for MMA as well. ONE occasionally uses MMA cages themselves, they used kickboxing rings only if the main events are Muay Thai or Kickboxing

Because they hold multiple styles within one show they will either use a ring or cage. They can't use both. It also depends on the location as to whether it's suited for a ring or cage. I agree I prefer mma in a cage but as the other commenter pointed out mma started in the ring. The UFC introduced the cage in the early 90's.
