I purchased that stamp platform before I even owned 1 clear stamp. I think it's time to get it out of its packaging now that I'm swimming in flat stamps. I hesitated to buy them because I have a drawer full of wooden block stamps and I am a terrible stamper.. I think the platform will help. I'm spending my morning trying to figure out some book page idea folder I saw in a video yesterday. I grabbed any paper to see how it looked but with the cardstock out today, I can't figure it out. Haha (it was just quickly shown as a gift received.) You are so inspiring and creative. You make me giggle along with you. I really really like the newest journal. I don't have a Patreon budget but I'm feeling tempted to work with that tutorial! I'm not all into the grungy but I just love the way it looks. Its fabulous, like all of your ideas. I'm always trying to think of how to make it softer to more of a light blush type of colors, with lace.. but I love the size of this journal. I prefer writing journals. I want things to write on in pockets, tucks, and pages and less full ephemera. I want to put in my own ephemera so I think what I need is a commonplace book. *giggle* ♡~Heidi

Great ideas. I had to finally to make a copy of every stamp and die I own and keep them in a binder to include the company, stamp/die name and location and then I thumb through the binder to decide what I want to use. I kept forgetting what I had! Your ideas for using our scrap paper is great. Thanks for sharing.

When i want to cover the stamp part, i put masking tape across it, then put the ink on, and then take the masking tape off and stamp, no measuring! you can use the masking tape several times too. Try it Eva! its faster too.

Hey Eva!! Great tutorial. Thanks so much!! I have some questions for you. I love to stamps too. I purchased the stamping platform from TH and it doesn't work for me. I still often don't get a full impression of some of my stamps and other times the rubber does not stick to the plastic of the platform. Maybe because I don't take good care of my stamps. I have to go through all of my stamps and clean them off because I am always too lazy when I am stamping. The other question is how do you emboss after you have stamped? I thought you have to use a stamping embossing pad. I am confused and you did not show that part. I really like the way the clear embossing looks and would like to try that. Have a great day!! Big hugs!!
@DragunSlayor5 жыл бұрын
I find I don't have problems with my cling stamps or clear stamps clinging to the platform as long as the backs are clean. I will sometimes just wipe off the back with a wet rag or baby wipe before attaching to give it a little better grip. Plain rubber stamps (without the grey cling foam back) will stick to the platform if you use something like Aileen's Tack it Over and Over glue. Apply, let it dry and then it's tacky and sticky, but not permanent. Do NOT stick it to anything while the glue is still wet! You can stamp more than once if you don't get good coverage from your stamps the first time. Just re-ink and re-stamp. As long as you don't move the paper or the stamp, it should line up just fine. It can happen with even the best of stamps. Be sure you are covering the whole area with ink and pressing firmly over the whole stamp. You don't have to push hard with the stamp positioner, but you do need to press a bit. You can use any kind of ink to emboss with, as long as it doesn't dry right away. So pigment ink, dye ink, chalk ink... just apply the embossing powder (clear or colored) over the wet ink and then heat emboss.

Hi Eva, looks great. Why don't you just ink the pasta of the stamp jou zó want to use instead of also the parts of the stamp that you don't want?
@BohemianCrafting5 жыл бұрын
I am not perfect in stamping, still learning and I do have heavy hand. Not great for delicate stamping,so protect the place I don't wanna stamp I am using piece of paper as a help. But maybe once I'll be good enough do not need to use it 😉

I don’t think the small tags look ill. I think they look like they are rusty metal. Just admit that is what you were trying to do. You give me inspirations to use up my scraps and stamps.

While I love stamps, there are times when it's better to rely on the tried and true. For example, the red lines on the Telegram, why not just use a ruler and a red Sharpie pen? The lines would be entirely even and as long as you would like them to be without a break between them. But, I do love your creativity.
