The issue I had with the BLM movement was that there wasn't really a clear cut idea of what people were fighting for, it felt like we really had this powerful movement where people all over America could come together and support each other and fight against injustice but, at the end of the day there wasn't a clear idea of what to fight against. It just felt like lots of different ideas where one group wanted one thing and 10 other groups wanted something different. It's like we had the power to do something but, no one to direct that power no single idea to support. The BLM movement really needed an MLK to unify the people it's why countries have leaders and armies have generals you really need unification towards a goal.

MLK had an actual list of tangible policy prescriptions, namely the repeal of segregation in law. BLM’s main focus was that it wanted no black person to ever die at the hands of a cop under any circumstances- even and especially when they had it coming- which was not just insane but impossible. As well as the abolition of police, prisons, theft laws and laws against rioting and looting. It wasn’t just doomed to fail, it wasn’t just doomed to be unable to reach its goals, it was destined to be exploited by a cabal of well connected leaders who used its donations to enrich themselves because what else were they going to do with the money? Their demands were pie in the sky nonsense which would only make the problems in the black community a thousand times worse. So if you’re not ever going to get the police abolished and you’ve got all this money coming in, what you gonna do with it? Hold a bunch of rallies? Maybe a convention? Or you just gonna pocket the change cos, like one of the leaders said, she was using it to better black lives - those of her immediate family.

The main thing is that there was already a civil rights movement. Just like with feminism so much progress was already made in the 60s and 70s that anything either group does now will seem insignificant by comparison.

The part I was sad about was that young people gained all this power in this single moment where they could have changed something but, they didn't have a leader to direct them towards a single cause or idea. They were scattered and had no idea what to do with the power. So, they wasted it.....

I just think it's too bad they didn't use the power from the movement to get something concrete out of it. Instead, it just created hatred towards cops, white people, and the government. It divided us more than it united us, but people act like the BLM movement was similar to the Civil Rights movement.

I’ve never been this early! Advice for your “trying to lose weight” Remember muscles weighs 4x more than fat does. So don’t get discouraged by the number on the scale. I advise getting a paper tape measurer to get your waist, thighs, arms etc sizes and as you get muscle it will be “slimmer” than fat. If you want extremely rapid weight loss. Run. Don’t let anyone tell you different like a bike. Run 1 mile 3 times a week and make sure you stay under 8 min each run. As far as diet, easiest way is proportion your plate. 60% protein, 20% fats, 20% greens.
