There isn't one great musician in the world who doesn't have respect for this man. One of the greatest swingers of all times & the greatest symbol of "The Cool". When you listen to this guy, you know there is a God.

He was and always will be the true Gentleman of Jazz, unique in his style in his articulate way of playing the sax !!!
Geniuses at work. It was such a tragedy when Jan died so young in a car accident (like recently deceased Swedish pianist Esbjorn Svesson who died in a diving accident last year). Getz was unbelievable. This footage is amazing!

Stan was one of my heroes growing up, one of the Four Brothers, so many good ideas aflow whenever he engaged.

This video has it all. Amazing tenor sound, a concise intro, a stop time showcase, multiple jazz quotes, speech like articulation, some serious blues, and a swinging rhythm section. I'm sure I've left something out, but what more could one ask for? This is complete perfection.

I heard Stan Getz for the first time when I was 16 years, while playing soprano sax in a band and this made such a great impression on me, that I decided immediatly to change to tenorsax (while continuing on the soprano). This man is a genius.

Yes here is true perfection. Stan was the most gifted of us all, his playing was a miracle, and the along with two or three others, greatest scion of Bird and Prez.

First rate Getz. I'm lucky to have met the three Americans, to have heard them often, and to have recorded them live in good company! Johansson is new to me, but sounds fine.

Bev clearly one person has zero taste. I like the grainy appearance of this clip and the background static adds rather than detracts from the music. Thanks

Great rendition of this jazz standard. Piano was a bit out of tune, but Jan Johansson sounds good anyway. Beautiful tenor solo by Getz. Thanks for posting. - Peter
