When you read the earliest Lee/Ditko Dr. Strange stories, you notice that Strange's also depicted as a white man who gets yellowfaced after learning the mystic arts, though not to the same extreme.
I’m just starting this and paused it to predict: Stan’s worst idea was “no costume for superheroes.” It was only fan-letter backlash to “uniform” the FF that changed his mind.

I actually like the Let's imagine! Stan Lee's DC characters. It had an overarching theme and villain and sure it wasn't that remarkable -- and frankly, all were quite derivative. But it was more of a marketing gimmick anyway. Yet I have enjoyed it quite much. Aquaman and Superman is better imo than the original versions, even if Superman isn't really heroic. The others are also ok. Batman is indeed the worse. I was also surprised I knew all of these apart from that cringe CGI NFL superhero project. But that's soo very American (and not a fan of any American sports) no wonder I haven't heard it.

I always had a soft spot for Dr. Druid. "A Dr. Strange with weaker powers". That's a perfect description of the character. Yes, he was goofy-looking with a goofy name. Yes, he was far below Strange's power level, but he used what he had against far more powerful adversaries. He was an underdog character. However, one of the Marvel writers hated the character, wrote a story where he did despicable things to increase his power, and then had him killed in the most humiliating way possible, and cremated in a trash can no less. Why Marvel allowed that I have no idea.

I only watched the first season of _"Who wants to be a superhero?"_ (to be fair, I wouldn't even learn there were additional seasons until years later) and while it was cringy for sure I found it entertaining. It was interesting to see contestants being divided between regular fame-wanting reality TV fare and actually want to feel like superheroes by doing good. Major Victory was by far my favorite. He really was into it, doing silly poses and overacting, while also being the one that always wanted to do the right thing, even to his own detriment. And I call BS on Stan Lee for taking him out of the competition only because he used to be a male stripper (and, to be clear, in real life and not as part of his character's backstory). Meanwhile, the gladiator guy (whose name I can't remember) that was a fireman in real life had a _massive_ ego problem and thought of himself as better than everyone. His job is commendable, but he certainly didn't give hero vibes.
