Literally best explanation I’ve heard... I understand release vs lag at last. Thank you!

The Orange Whip is a great training and warm up tool. It helps to devlope a smooth rhythm and tempo in your swing. It's a great product!

Whipped Tempomaster helped me build a swing, but I do like the counter balanced Orange Whip too

I think the best way to use the Orange Whip to teach the release is to intend to maintain the "lag" bend in the shaft, which is clearly felt at the beginning of the forward swing, through impact. Maintaing the "lag" pressure doesn't actually happen to the shaft in a "real" swing (it is in "lead" bend before impact), but instead represents the proper release feel, in which the swing of the handle-end maintains sufficiency.

I think most people don't get that the golf release is lead hand ulnar release, not trail hand extension release. The golf swing sure is confusion!

maybe a combination of both, the release of the right hand extension and then the left wrist ulnar deviation. I find this release keeps the action a bit more linear and square without the need of a lot of club face rotation. more consistent for me.

You cannot “create “ lag. Lag is the reaction of the end of the kinetic chain. Crack the whip.

I love the product. The fellow in the Ping hat is giving bad advice though. You want peak speed at the target not at the ball.
