So I stumbled across this in my Watch Later list and thought, ahhh, let me check out where this whole Stan Walker singing journey started for the rest f the world... and this was an awesome first clip to react to! I could feel his nerves all the way through the screen!!
(And I guess I have an easier ride because I know the end of the story already lol...) But I think I am going to need to watch them all now!!! 😍✨

I remember watching all of these performances on KZbin back in the day when the show was airing. He was clearly the best singer on the program that season. I would just say it's important to remember he was just 18. From week to week you saw the growth. Once he reached the final shows and performed "Black Box" I knew he was on his way. I have every CD he released. Big big Stan Walker fan here.

Stan Walker is just brilliant! Wonderful seeing his early beginning - teenage, even! - bringing such maturity to his performance of this quite grown up song. Love this, except for the ridiculous remarks offered by the judges - and love his recent work as well, including his independent work and his duets. He is amazing. Mahalo from Kauai.

Aww i love ya reactions ❤‍🔥Watching this all again was beautiful. Knowing everything Stan has gone through, everything he has overcome and where he is today is why he is my favourite Artist. He creates this Music that empowers and inspires people worldwide. One of his songs he sung on 'Australian Idol' was from Beyonce (She is one of his Idols). He got to meet her and open up one of her concerts here when she came to New Zealand. That was really special for him.

Some suggestions, - Choose ft. hamo dell - Thank you - Amazing grace ft. the Levites also includes his own song 'I surrender'. - Take it easy (his music video for movie Mt Zion, which I'd like to add would be a great movie to react to as hes the protagonist). Love this video, have seen most of bits of it but great to come and revisit and hear and see your reactions, like someone said at his 1st audition, "Your voice resonates and its captivating" and it really does. I don't even like pop music but enjoy listening to him sing pretty much whatever. It gives me goosebumps sometimes. Shout out to his cover of Kaynes - Ultra Light Beam, worth a watch/listen.

I have been a fan of Stan’s since I first saw him on Australian idol, he has come so far from his idol days, each and every one of his songs since idol is awesome in my eyes, I’ve been around for decades, and he is my most favourite singer of all times, he is a wonderful humble young man, we are very proud of his achievements here in Aotearoa (NZ) I admire him greatly for his embracing of his Maori culture, he has never forgotten who he is and where he came from, his latest song I Am from the movie Origins has topped his career, he has come so far, and hope he has many more miles to go yet, he has achieved so high and going through so many adversities, he had his stomach removed in 2017 due to a rear cancer gene in his family, but has come back even stronger Arohanui Stan ❤️

Well well well yayy!! No one on YT has done this. This is awesome! Thanks brother. For me when I saw Stans audition I was blown away and from then onwards I watched every episode and more. This is such a cool memory of his Idol journey. I personally dont watch the judges remarks. I remember them haha now I just enjoy those wonderful memories and how he grew as a person and an artist. Yes at 18 he was raw amazing talent. I'd love to see your videos but without the judges comments?? Haha but that's just me. Some of his Idol songs weren't great but to me they were haha like he's flat on Pinks Dear Mr President, Purple Rain is fantastic the best but I think there is only one upload of Purple rain on YT, Amazing grace (I love the bridge), Beegees How can you mend a broken heart is stunning (Mike Buble guest judge said "God kisses his throat), , Mikey Cyrus The Climb❤, Circle of Life Hallelujah❤ (gosh the arguments on the comments back then was hilarious, heaps haters back then I can tell you lol) I loved Halleluyah. And remember every week was themed so he had to choose songs for the theme week like country rock RnB etc omg I can't wait for Sweet Dreams Beyonce ❤ I take my hat off to all the Australian voters who got him through and he won. NZ couldn't vote but a lot of us were calling relatives for the.to vote lol Pretty similar to last year's American Idol winner Iam Tongi journey which I loved watching and follow as well lol Back to Stan.... As an 18 year old he handled everything well, he never lost himself and he's worked hard through all the challenges. So so so proud of him. Thanks so much for these videos and reactions ❤❤

These performances were from 2009 Australian Idol. Checkout his latest release "I Am" for the movie "Origin". The difference from where he started then to now is night and day both in his performance as a seasoned artist but also the maturity of his vocal delivery.

Haha I'm going to disagree on that last point, my dear. I knew what he was getting at straight away with the breathing and movement/stamina. I noticed a couple of ever so slight catches as he was moving around the stage and it was actually great advice. Seeing the performer he is today... I can say he's definitely listened to and implemented everything EVERYONE told him and he did it straight away in every case during this song run we just watched. Great video, I'll carry on this journey with you ❤
