My mom just had this surgery in September of 2019 and everything that could go wrong, did. She spent a month in the ICU and two more on the general floor. Her throat keeps closing causing her to have many procedures to stretch it which helps for a few days. She always felt as if she was the only one that had these struggles because doctors told her after the recovery, very few have continuing issues. Thank you for sharing your story and for sharing this song. It means more to me than you will ever know. 💕✌🏼

@@warrickhay9630 I’m so sorry for your loss. My mom just got out of the hospital (again, for the umpteenth time), she’s so depleted. She weighs 97 lbs, she’s lost over 100 lbs. When they scoped her this time, they found her “stomach/ esophagus” lined with severe ulcers. Which is why she hasn’t been able to hold anything down. They put her on some (more) heavy medications to help. She says she feels 70% better, that the pain isn’t as bad. I wouldn’t wish this stuff on anyone. She is struggling so bad and has some of the best doctors on her team. I can’t imagine what others are trying to struggle through.

I am neither Kiwi nor Maori, yet I can relate in my own way, have lost many people to cancer, and I love this song. Why make it all about race or ethnicity? Music is universal. One doesn't have to know the language to feel a connection nor understand. We all have mothers. We have all lost loved ones etc. We are all human!

Stan your work is amazing always remember even though it’s tough and hard trying ur best to beat something that is causing so much grief never give up always hold ur head high and take each day as a blessing god is on ur side and ur family side. Do good by ur mum and always praise her every day cuz every mother in this world deserves kids who show compassion n respect. Your cultural ways are the most respected through a lot of ppl.
