There is an hour long video here on KZbin that was done about three years ago. The video chronicles Stan Walker’s journey through a rare kind of stomach cancer that has affected and taken the lives of 25 plus family members. He has a strong family dynamic and the outpour of love and support along with his family’s belief in God is paramount! During his recovery, he lost his voice , but he remained humble and God saw to it that he retained his gift! Knowing this makes this song that much sweeter! Stan Walker is a dynamic singer! Yesterday was a bad day. My daughter called me from work hysterical, telling me that her car got stolen from work, broke my heart to hear my girl heart broken. To go through all she's been through, and watch her rise from the ashes and have someone do this to her really had me see red. I prayed hard and listened to this. SAW STANS LIVE SHOW ON NITV A FEW WEEKS AGO here in Australia, then it was repeated two weeks later I had to watch it again. I was BLOWN AWAY!!!! I remember seeing him win X factor or was it another vocal tv comp?/ Anyway he has matured so much & I was GOOSE BUMPS ALL THE WAY ,LIKE I AM AGAIN NOW HERE. I'm a mature age singer, albeit unsuccessful (as many of us are) for various reasons...THIS is my type of singer, my type of music. The Musicians are incredible too, the musicality & arrangements are second to none. Stan's spirituality shone like a BLINDING LIGHT on the NITV SHOW....I LISTENED TO HIS STORY & HIS SONGS, LIKE A DEER IN THE HEADLIGHTS, I was so knocked out by his story & his talent & the band. I lived in NZ all my high school years, & love the Maori culture & their amazing musicality. This song, & all his others (I've just checked out some)..of the last few years, to me, epitomise exactly what NZ GOSPEL Music is all about! OMG I am sooo moved. Brought me to tears actually. Goose bumps in my chakras!! Stan, you've awakened my own spirituality! Thankyou. Your music should be EVERYWHERE.
