LOL, yeah I actualy looked it up because I was so sceptical. Turns out it happens. She seems fine with white wine. There's other stuff too on the show, comments that could be meant as foreshadowing, all a lot more subtle and easy to explain away. I love how subtle the writers made it, very sneaky. Morning sickness would have been a dead giveaway. And Stana had to act out the expression changes, etc., which makes me think she suspects/ knows. I'm surprised Castle didn't catch on, though.

I think you're wrong there. Besides, Bones just did that. Castle will want to run their own course and not seem like unoriginal copycats. There's so much more territory to cover with these two decisions, no reason to go down the baby path. Loved Stana's reaction to the interviewer's response! She's so real and natural. Awesome!

Maybe, but I think she'll wait more. Or at least she wont know about it till later. It could be a better cliffhanging finale, but you're right. I don't know about her reaction because she have always been a shipper and she has joked about it in an interview a few years ago (season 2 or 3, can't quite remember). But I trust Marlowe and I have a feeling that this would be the most important season (cliffhanging).

I think he may have even asked for Jim Beckett's blessing before asking her. That's the reason for the line "Why do you think you have to choose?" He didn't tell her because obviously he didn't want to spoil the surprise.

I was thinking the same thing with Kate and Castle babysitting as a way of Kate to get Castle on board with having their own kid. I don't agree that it was only because of the job offer that he made the proposal. Yes it led to him having to think about their future but he had time to think and marriage is what he wants. It wasn't an ultimatum. If she chooses DC he will go with her. "Whatever you decide." We ended last season with Kate saying "All I want is you." Castle is saying the same thing.

I would love if their kid had a name that meant "Always". There aren't a lot out there, but I think it would be perfect. Their unique promise of love and devotion brought to life in a baby, so romantic. I also think that if it's a girl, one of her names will definitely be Johanna. There's no way Kate will pass up a chance to honor her mom. I agree about Bracken. I'm not sure what he's up to, but if he isn't up to something now, he will be in the future.

Actually, I'm pretty sure Beckett is already pregnant, not because I want her to be but because she is. People mentioned a possible pregnancy before the proposal, but dropped it after the proposal. I actually didn't think they'd do the pregnancy storyline yet until I saw the finale. Her face when walking to the swings, Javi saying she wasn't, her telling Ryspo that she had something to tell them. Then I rewatched the season and saw that she'd developed an aversion for coffee and red wine

The screaming interrogation when Gates and Castle told her to handle the suspect like his wife did? And how she handled the girlfriend of the guy who kidnapped Alexis? I think we've only seen her like that when a suspect baited her about her mom. Pregnancy hormones+fear+worry=extremely pissed off, bordering on crazy Beckett. I wonder how fast pregnancy hormones kick in.

I sincerely hope that Beckett didn't figure it out early on but kept it from Castle. And I really hope they include (more?) hormonal Beckett scenes, and not just interrogation ones.

So no test. She knew in her gut, but wasn't able to face what the signs meant until that interrogation. It's in keeping with her character if season 4 is any indication of how she deals with stuff. She could also have found out between Still and TSatQ and that could be part of the reason why she started acting differently/ insecure. Maybe she was afraid of how Castle would take it. Or how it would change her life, what possible ambitious future she'd lose. Could also be why she wanted that job.

I believe she's right about the pregnancy. There are a lot of hints dropped in season 5. Plus, it's the first time I've seen her so serious about it and she's almost taken aback at the interviewer's reaction to her answer. Also, she says "Kate's knocked up", not "if it was up to me she'd be knocked up" , what she says comes off as a statement, rather than a possible self-made up scenario. And I think there's a very good chance that Beckett's answer to Castle's proposal is that she's pregnant.

I think that might be the focus of Season 6 actually, starting with Beckett rejecting him and then realizing they'd actually be better together so by season 6 end they'll be at that place in their lives ... Oh yeah, I agree, but he could've just said that. He didn't have to propose. I never thought of it as an ultimatum, but I don't think he would have chosen to propose to her right then if this situation hadn't come up. I think he may have even had the ring before all of this happened and was waiting for the right time. I just don't think that moment was the right time.

Finally! Another believer. Yes! That's the only thing I haven't figured out yet. I'm sure she didn't know in Still. She would have told Castle since she thought she was dying. Or not because she didn't think it mattered anymore. But she would have told him afterward. At the same time I think she's suspected all along and was just in denial. The signs have been there for months. So I think she might have faced it in the interrogation room when she said "Or are you ready to deal?" *continued

There are hints of a possible pregnancy throughout season 5. They are really subtle, but they're there. If you look for it, you'll notice that Beckett seems to have a sudden aversion to coffee and red wine. She even puts honey in her coffee in one of the episodes, something she's never been known to do. And Ryan's comment and Javi's "Beckett's not pregnant!" denial, along with Beckett's expression when she's walking towards the swings tell me she is pregnant.

Nahhhh, it will ruin it bc it will seem she's with him for the baby. Million times people went there and it does wrong to the characters. I think they should go back on track, and the pregnancy storyline, if anything, should start mid-late season 6, until after they get over their crap and disagreement. But generally? Caskett baby? It would get her away from her support system, but as far as Bracken knows she doesn't just have one copy. She may have more. "If anything happens to me or anyone I care about the file goes public." I agree with all of that except for drawing attn away from Ryan and Jenny's kid. Their kid doesn't have my attn anyway. I couldn't care less. The upside to them having a baby is the possibility of watching Castle and Beckett babysit before they have their own. But the same way I wouldn't want Kate to say yes b/c of a pregnancy, I also don't like the way it seemed like Castle proposed b/c of the job offer. I want to them to be in a happy place in their relationship and he ask her again.

I am not surprised that she would be the one that would say Kate would be pregnant or that she wants Kate to be pregnant, but if Kate was pregnant now it might draw attention away from Ryan and Jenny's kid. Also, I want Kate to say yes to the marriage out of choice. If she is pregnant and says yes then there might be the sense that she did it out of obligation. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see her pregnant too, but not yet. Save it. The wedding should be the next big event followed by kid

Throw everything into one season though? Not only Kate pregnant, but their wedding, Ryan and Jenny's baby, Lanie and Espo, Bracken, and 3XK storylines would have to be wrapped up. Too much. I want them happy, but wow that's a lot. Why would Bracken want Kate closer to him and with more power? But when she does get pregnant I see twins. One boy, one girl. The boy is Rick Jr. and girl Johanna (for Kate's mom). Another question I want answered will Kate take Castle's last name?

IMO Kate should NOT be pregnant. For a number of reasons. I don't want Caskett to be pushed into or out of anything by a pregnancy. Just for the record I think she'll say yes. Either right away or after awhile but there is sure to be drama concerning their decision.
