'Stand As One' celebrates five years at Frank Baxter

'Stand As One' is a youth mentoring program initiated by SHINE for Kids at the Frank Baxter Juvenile Justice Centre in 2010. This video was made to mark 5 successful years of the program. Young men approaching the end of their sentences are matched with a mentor who assists them through their transition from detention back into the community. This support allows the young men to conceive of a future away from prison and has been shown to reduce the likelihood of reoffending.
