Nnamdi Kanu conundrum continues to defy legal and political solutions, and more personalities and groups in Nigeria are weighing in to find a way out of the logjam.
As part of these, about 50 members of the House of Representatives spread across the six geo-political zones of the country have appealed to President Bola Tinubu to use his constitutional powers to release the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu from detention.
In Kenya, East Africa, President William Ruto has bowed to public pressure and agreed to withdraw the controversial finance bill that sparked widespread protests and mass unrest across the country

Tinubu is playing with the emotions of Igbo people. He released his kingsmen, Omoyele Sowore and Sunday Igbowo unconditionally and dropped all charges against them. But an igbo man, Nnamdi Kanu is still being held in DSS dungeon after being illegally renditioned from Kenya. It’s laughable that they require Nnamdi Kanu to negotiate with federal government but Sowore and Igbowo were just set free without being asked to negotiate with the government. This is tribalism at its worst.

And he did not jump bail, he narrowly escaped death in the hands of Nigerian soldiers who invaded his ancestral home, killed scores of people, including his parents. May I know what you would’ve done differently if you were in Nnamdi Kanu’s shoes, will you wait to be killed like others or run away?.

Given what we're witnessing in the South East every Monday, as well as the toughest security challenges that the Imo state governor has had to deal with in the last 3 years, Nigeria will face its worst nightmare if anything should happen to Nnamdi Kanu while he is still under detention. We will be telling a different story. The Nigerian government should know that they're dealing with a new breed of generation that did not witness or experience any civil war - they're unpredictable! And with all the court rulings in his favour...the Nigerian government is only fanning the embers of fire by keeping on detaining him.

@MammaA123. The courts have actually “taken its course”, all we are asking is for Tinubu to obey court orders, we are not asking for any favours. There’re multiple courts orders to release Nnamdi Kanu but Buhari and now Tinubu have continued to flout court orders. Your hatred and jealousy for Igbos have eaten deep into you. Igbos will continue to strive, we will outshine you even in your own backyard. Tinubu have cornered the country just like he cornered Lagos state. All major segment of the economy have been allocated to the yorubas by Alhaji Tinubu: customs controller, police IGP, central bank boss, army chief, EFCC, etc. The northerners that handed power to him are grumbling and holding clandestine meetings. Something is loading for the most hated president in Nigerian history. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.
