Sad stories, but Felipe makes them entertaining. I love that he acknowledges the people that helped him along the way

This foo Felipe i got nothing but respect. I'm 32 straight out of east LA too and i have always heard his name. I seen this foo's stand ups and I'm happy he got his own netflix special. He worked hard for that man

This the first time I’ve ever watched this podcast. I only clicked because I saw Felipe Esparza was the guest… But dang this was rough to watch! The host was terrible at interviewing. Felipe held this entire interview.

I always got picked last, but the last time I told myself if I got picked last I would never play again so I really acted like I didn't care to play and I second to last and my spirit grew big balls and i played like forest gump

Well, here we go again, folks-Felipe Esparza, back on his soapbox, acting like he’s got a patent on suffering and nobody in the history of Los Angeles has had it harder than him. If I had a nickel for every time this guy told us how tough he had it, I’d be richer than his material. Look, we get it, Felipe-life was rough. But here’s the thing: you're not the only one with a hard-luck story. The constant “woe is me” routine is starting to feel like one big pity party that nobody asked to attend. The comedy’s supposed to make us laugh, not make us feel like we’re trapped in a therapy session with someone who’s been stuck on the same chapter for 20 years.
