nice earlier standard. I collect standards and that's technically pre monarch would have been referred to just as the standard tractor. early ones have flat blade wheels and carbon on the back of the cylinder later are on side. Walsh and standard where actually separate company's that used the same design and then joined all together with twins also to form the standard company.

Very nice Lloyd. Towards the end of the video were you adjusting the timing? We had an old Allis Chamers tractor that we hand cranked to start, it had a starter but most of the time the battery was dead so we cranked it. It snapped back once on my dad and broke his wrist, it had a good kick. Your Monarch reminds me of the Gravely model L's we had. TFS

the tractor tag is E9454 on the plate. Not knowing for sure, I thought it was around 1930 or so. If this tag # doesn't show up, I can see if there is a number stamped on the case. I have the original parts book and manual for the tractor too.
@bobwhite37777 жыл бұрын
Rusty Glovebox I am sorry but I can't find out the year on yours I don't know it should work on all standard tractors. I know the E means it is a standard monarch and the 1 and 3 number are the year but that doesn't make sense the letter E should be the 4 one. They started production around 1934 and ended in 1950. Mine is a 1939 I'll do some more digging and you look by the pet cooks and see if there is a number there

I know this video is 4 years old but i just viewed it for first time. Does the tag say monarch on it ? That appears to be an earlier model just called the standard garden tractor. If by chance its tagged as a monarch judging by what i see it would be very early possibly even a transition tractor. I own many tractors from these related builders.
@RustyGlovebox3 жыл бұрын
I have the original manuals and it is a Monarch.
@marcushuntjr81423 жыл бұрын
@@RustyGlovebox must be very early then. To my knowledge the monarch models didn't use that aircleaner & wheels appear to be larger diameter. I love to see a pic of ur tag to check. Style serial number etc. Very interesting machine
