@@AvgasLL Strange. I quite like them shaved. However overgrown hair in my opinion makes them look as if their owners don't care and don't even try, that beard on poodles disgusts me.

@@Coco_Renours has a teddy face but it’s nice and tidy… tripped around eyes etc. My kids like the teddy bear face- that’s why doodles are so popular

Martin Dennis it’s about keeping the traditional cut of the dog that hunted in cold water. I thought same as you until I researched it. It’s kept in shows for same reason- history and tradition. I now own one and trust me when I tell you- no one wants to keep all that hair 😂 most, if not all, people cut them down as soon as they can once they’re no longer showing.

Am I the only one that hates how high they make them hold their heads? Like their gorgeous dogs has it is, don’t make their head so high it looks uncomfortable. But, that’s how it works I guess.

If you think that a bit of grooming and giving a paw makes a Poodle, you are very much mistaken. My Spoo saves my life in a daily basis, he senses my diabetic hypos. A posh hair cut does not make a winner.

Because humans believe that any being put on a leash is loving it. Humans control animals with food and pain and punishment. Humans use innocent creatures for their own needs and pleasures. Remember that all of these animals are under ultimate control by collars by humans. The comply with the dominant species, the human. Not every one believes animals should be treated this way.
