Certainly was. Every expansion has their toxic cards, sunken city certainly had a few. Regardless of that, it really was a gem. The theme alone is S-tier.

They executed nathria and sunken city really well. The event, the vibe. The new mechanics and minions. They were in style with the general idea of the expansions. Blue/purple, dredge(go deep to the bottom of your deck), nathria- red, infuse with souls, mysterious, shadowlands from wow- about the afterlife beings. And there were some problematic decks as always, but the overall meta was fairly balanced and each class had somewhat competitive deck. Warrior also started getting revived. Really good time of modern hearthstone.

It really was a good year with sunken city and Nathria being some of the coolest expansions flavor and card design wise. On top they introduced an amazing class that is now one of my favorites.

the craziest part is I started Hearthstone during like near between the time of the sunken city release and mini set. play can't believe that the first cards I ever messed with are going to be gone in like a month or two. I remember the first deck I ever made that wasn't just a bunch of random nonsense was Mech mage i love that deck to this day.

These 6 sets together are magic. I'm having the most fun I've had in 4 years of playing Hearthstone and I'm dreading losing these cards in a month from now. It's sad that so many cool cards will become unplayable in wild. I wish a format like twist would bring back the best metas like this for us to experience again. It would be great if they let us vote on what we would like to have back from the past like every other month.

For the most part I agree. I was mostly playing BG until the last expansion. But still frustrated by OTK decks and decks with no counters (like Sif mage and sludge warlock, especially before nerfs).

God sunken city has so many absolutelt incredible cards. Stuff like the school teacher naga just being a reliable 4 drop in any deck that was always fun to play with the discover choice

I came back with Sunken City after some HS-fatigue - and was amazed and fascinated by Curse-Warlock, I loved it ! especially since I got the corresponding legendary minion ! too bad that support was immediately canceled in the next expansion :( and I will miss the colossal-gameplay, as you have full benefit out of them, even when resurrecting/summon them by chance, what you don't have from a battlecry-card...

Set rotations always suck; losing part of your collection, in general, is a terrible feeling. Hopefully, the next expansion is a good one. Although the expansions leaving this time will suck a lot.

For me, the rotation is very brutal right now. I am a returning player, I came back in August. I didn't have a single new card and had to prepare everything from scratch. I bought promotions, bought both bundles of the last expansion, did all the quests and first farmed mercenaries until the nerf, I simply set my watch for 30 minutes, but I always finished the game honestly to progress. They blocked this mod, so I did it in solo mode, this time giving up the games because I no longer saw the point in finishing them like in mercenaries. In addition, I played more and more, the more cards I had, in December I got the legend 7000 for the first time in my life. In January I managed to get 1600, and now after a week I was fighting in the range of 500-1000. I've never hurt anyone. I was planning to buy a battlepass from next month to do it more effectively. I was planning to buy both bundles again. I was looking forward to the rotation and a fresh start, the anniversary, and I've been with this game since the very beginning. I had a dream to become a pro one day or at least, like you, Zeddy, open my own channel and teach other players how to play. And it all came to an end because I was banned for botting forever. They can't show me evidence so I don't know how to defend myself since their main determinant is "time spent in the game" and I was online a lot because I study at home and had a lot of time. This massban was supposed to hit bots and help the game, but instead it ricocheted innocent people or punished them disproportionately to their guilt. Thus, Hearstone got rid of its players and customers. If they don't fix their mistake, personally, despite having Diablo 4 and other games, I will never play anything from this company again and I am writing this as a warning. I feel cheated and treated like an insignificant number in their papers. I don't know if I will be able to trust them even after being unbanned because I have become so attached to HS that I simply feel a clear loss and am going through mourning. It's not fair.

Honestly, a lot of tech cards are leaving which were thr sole reason some of the new strategies were kept in check (aka Steamcleaner for plague DK, Theotar for Greedy playstyles and combos etc.)

Infuse and Dredge were mechanics that felt way less gimmicky and more fun than a lot of other set mechanics. Dredge seems to stay around in the Recruit way with cards like Fracking which makes sense but I'm kinda sad Infuse is going to go. Corrupt was another one I liked similarly to Infuse.

Sure some cards need a buff or a nerf every now and then, but hell, what's the point of a collectable card game when you can't keep cards??????? Such a bad thing. I can't wait for rotation. I hate these expansions and how they're impacting decks. Colossals are cool... But the only ones that are still seeing play are Hydrolodon in "Inexplicably top tier despite being nerfed like 5 times Hunter" and Behemoth in "Let's generate 18 billion copies of my big cards Priest" which aren't exactly fun or interesting decks to play against. Nathria is full of broken stuff... March, while the rotation will cripple DK (Especially Blood if no core set changes/new cards are made) it does mean Astalor can finally go away. The rotation is going to mean that Druids lame token crap is going away. Rogues entire draw selection is going away (Ghostly Strike/Gone Fishin' and Concoctions), Paladin's stupid minion buffs are going (As well as several of their 1 drops they pull with Boogie Down). My only qualm is that Warrior and Warlock are basically untouched by rotation. Both of them use mostly Festival/Titans/Badlands cards. Which could have some awful impacts on the meta if the next expansion doesn't shake things up enough. Besides that, there are so few cards I actually care about from these expansions and the keywords are whatever honestly (While Colossals are evergreen so we can see new ones in the future anyway)

its the type of card that tier II decks appreciate to give some oomph, but can be abused by some tier I and ruin it. I don't think neutrals should be that strong. Make tri or quad class cards to give interesting cards viability in multiple classes, but keep neutral for toolbox cards like viper. Astalor would be fine if a handful of classes didn't have access to it.
