Great comparison video. I know both guitars sounds better if we try them in person. I found the sound of texas special more enjoyable, but it is simply my appreciation.

there is a very slight difference in tone, the special Telecaster has a slightly higher sounding top end

The Texas special doesn't have low-end that makes the regular mellow

Agreed, they definitely have the clarity, but seem harsh. The tele pickups I stuck with were the Seymour Duncan Quarter pound. They have more low end and clarity, and are way hotter pickups. I love them. Checkout my comparison of the 3: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pKbWYn6OZtmgipI

Brian H It's the same guitar with the two different type of pickups in it for comparison. There isn't an American Special Tele in the video at all. I agree that the video title is confusing, but the description is pretty clear.

When you hit a bass note, you can hear a glassyness and a bounce ( I do t know how to describe it). They chime more. Both sound good though. I think the Texas specials sound better than the new Yosemite. Local shop had one Special left. I A/Bd, and I liked the guitar with Texas Specials better. The new pups were way too bright...They hurt my ears.

They both sounded awful through whatever software modeling he's got it going through. Plug these bad boys up to a real amp and decide there because it's just not a fair comparison here. Texas Specials for me, anyway..

You’re right! It’s a tele standard with tele standard pickups compared with the Texas special pickups.
