This helped a ton. I simply replaced the switch on my Honda Ridgeline, but inserted it to full depth. This was causing my brake pedal to not fully return, causing my brakes to drag while driving. I thought the corrugated ridges were for depth adjustment, but I didn’t see logical confirmation that I wasn’t supposed to insert the switch ALL the way in. Thanks a ton.

This is awesome. Showed me how i could actually adjust the depth of the switch to make contact with the brake pedals bump stop. I bought a new one for $8.99 from AutoZone, my trusted parts hub; and that switch vs my switch both tested out perfectly. The real problem was the piece that was on the pedals frame itself. I rigged up a solution for that of an o-ring that fit perfectly & this man right here showed that it actually adjusts according to the pedals setting in place. Great solution. Thank you

Ok so that part is what’s broken on mine as well, what did you do to replace the O-ring? I know this is 2 years later

You didn't show how to got the retainer clip out. What is the secret? I tried to pop mine out with a screwdriver, but it doesn't just pop out as you say.

Switched it on my 2014 accord but my car takes two to three tries before it cranks . Also, when I’m driving my emergency brake feels like it is on. If I don’t hit the gas my car will come to a complete stop with pushing the brakes .
