Yes this is one of the first signs that Avi was going to have to leave, the group was not designed to showcase him like some other acapella groups. But man while it lasted these 5 souls were MAGIC together.

1st time I’ve heard this song…..the “vibe” of this song reminds me of the sound of his solo career. I remember him saying in an interview once his love was “blue grass” sound. I love Avi!

Vintage PTX. Thanks to the patron who shared this. Very good video. Most of those fan cam vids ive seen so far were not as clear as this. And yes, only Avi can sing Standing By this best. Heartstrings ❤

He did not leave because he wanted to be solo. He left because the pace of the group was too much for him. He could have absolutely done a separate thing, and stayed with the group, if it wasn't so difficult for him to deal with. Notice: Parallel. Scott is doing both.

He did leave because of the pace they kept but also left because he love writing songs. He knew that PTX's bread and butter are covers. Which is fantastic but when your passion is song writing you need to follow your heart. Also the side projects that PTX does is just that a side project. They have said that PTX comes first. Which is great for them. Avi wanted more. They are both doing fantastic and all is well.

@@annmoomau881 Yes they wrote pop songs dont know if you listen to Avi stuff now its far from pop. He would have never been able to have songs that that in PTX.

I don't know if you noticed, but the last few years PTX has definitely slowed down their schedule. Maybe they learned a little something from Avi's departure?

@@rachellephipps1361 I suppose it's possible that he would have wanted some of his own music, if he had been able to stay. I will say, I liked how he used his voice better when he had solos with PTX, than what I have heard from him recently. Just my preference.
