Неудачное применение крестового молотка. Клювик не влезает в зазор и не приподнимает нижнюю отгибку.

Ok why not hem the panel first though? Is there a benefit to doing it this way? or is this for retrofit applications?
@asm1012 жыл бұрын
Yes if course you should.... Anything to save time but this one had to be done this way

Something you have to slide the panel from the side?

I’m just trying to understand why not get the proper measurements and pre hem you panels and install? This method to me just caused really bad scratches on your panels and your cricket bro. Im 12 years in sheet metal and metal roofing and I wouldn’t leave this installed. Throw it out and re-do this project. Im sorry bro but this is bad, I wouldn’t let you work on my roof with this quality of work. For anyone thinking they learned something from this, it should be on what not to do on a metal roof . SMH

Your missing the point to this video...it's meant to show that it is possible to do it after the fact...maybe I should have been clearer about that when I edited the video..oh well regardless thanks for watching....maybe I'll redeem myself on the next one

You leave a big hole there. Isn’t waste of time make double lock with those holes there
@asm1012 жыл бұрын
Big holes where?

That’s a leak unfortunately. Swept end is an opening for leaks. this is why we only use this detail with an eave trim underneath with over lap. You should have flattened the seam down if you wanted to double bend the eave like that. This is a big no no. 🫤

Thanks for your feedback... Always learning

Comment above is good feedback. Otherwise this method is helpful to see. I would’ve had a hard time figuring out how to make a hook in place once panels are laid. This would work. Thanks to you both! Learning here as well

@@JThomasP my only problem is that people will see this video and think it’s ok to do it like that. I don’t mean to bring someone down or anything but I think this video should be taken down and redone with the correct detail so anyone that see the video at least can reproduce something correctly even if they don’t really understand why. It’s important for the people that really want to learn.

@@thomasarnout5388 true enough. Maybe they can caption the video in the interim

the only thing wrong with this detail is the swept nose part as it isnt swept properly and double locked like the rest of the detail probably still waterproof though
