The interviewer did a great job moderating the talk with JSD, allowing space and pulling him back in whenever it was required. With minds like JSD, it can sometimes be a challenge to do that as it can turn out to either be a monologue or an interrogation, neither of which is desirable. Definitely has potential to work in a think tank like space i reckon.

Enjoyed the views and the depth of knowledge and history. One suggestion if I may - the answers are way too long winded. I am sure a justice would cut him off a lot sooner if he pontificated even on simple questions in the SC. But his views and sharp intellect and analysis are a very welcome change. Hope he makes it to a Farid Zakaria episode and opeds in the USA media. That has been currently hijacked and even if Mr. deepak takes the view he doesn’t care - he should. It’s a country that needs to be educated on what’s really going on. Who better than people like us with his help to do so.

the speaker talks about indic renessance. In recent years we tend to condemn our existing constitution as colonial and western. There is talk of decolonization etc. I want to know as to specificially what would Mr Sai Deepak, Sanyal, and Sampath want to change in our constitution to make it more close to our ancient civilizational values. How can values of equality, fraternity, freedom of thought and expression be alien? How are Bhartiya values different than what our founding fathers instilled in our constitution? I would love for him to spell out Indic civilational values. Here we have Mr J Sai Deepak talking to a minority community at one of the most prestigious universities in the US. Isn't that amazing and wonderful. I am not sure, you could do the same in today's India!
@coffee233110 ай бұрын
I had same thought as you. But i saw vivek ramaswamy been asked "is usa ready for hindu president" several times had really opened my eyes. Thought USA had really open community to all thoughts. But that question didnt felt like was from just questioneers but from large population of usa. I saw many influential people calling our gods demons, devils etc. Imagine a self made billionaire running for president asked such question. Then what would happen to you or any commin hindu person if he will openly admit to be hindu. Will he not face any consequences? And this is 2024 america. Also india is far better that terms then. We had president A.P.J. Abdul kalam, prime minister Manmohan Singh without ever been asked about their religion. We still never question on their religion but their work only.

bcz hindu community is peaceful and productive unlike the minority in india which is violent and used to appeasement. hindu community in usa does not dream of converting usa to a hindu country like muslims dream of gazwa-e-hind we r fighting for our existence while muslims are fighting for dominance. u leftist alws miss the nuance. we already hv muslim leaders in india spewing venom against hindus and their ways of life. what more do u want??

A small suggestion on Bharathiya courtesy. Do not sit in a manner that shows the soles of the shoes to the audience.
@amitexo10 ай бұрын
Bharatiya sanskriti has more urgent and pressing issues than to be bothered by the sight of a shoe sole. The comments shows so much pettiness and basically took nothing from what has been said in this whole conversation. We are truly our own worst enemies with our mindset!
@chandraravikumar10 ай бұрын
Hasty of you to conclude that this small observation of mine is all the message that was taken from this programme; or that I think that a visible sole of a shoe is the sum total of Bharath’s problems. The comments section is provided by the uploader for the audience / viewer to interact both with ithe uploader and with other viewers. Sri Sai Deepak has been travelling from venue to venue inside and outside Bharath educating comatose “Hindus” on the perilous state of their very existence.“ Bharathiyathva / Bharathiya Dharma” and its Janmabhoomi are under serious threat. To quote, or misquote, Plutarch "It's not enough for Caesar's wife to be virtuous, she must be seen to be virtuous." He and his interviewer are in a formal and serious stage location here, and stage etiquette needs to be conformed to. In our language we would say this is an “aachaaram” to be observed. Comportment that seems to be slighting of the audience undeservingly reduces from SD’s own high stature. He may not have been even aware of holding such a posture. So, is it an offence to have gently called their attention to this lapse which, small as it is, can cause some discomfort to the viewer, and maybe distract from the real issues being discussed, and worse give cause for criticism from those inimical to our interests? If there had been another personal conduit to them I would have chosen that. I am an old-fashioned senior. I am of the sentiment, “ He is young. He must be tired travelling and talking so much. No matter, next time he will be careful.” My comment comes from this position.
@amitexo10 ай бұрын
@@chandraravikumar Primo, you were hasty in assuming that i did not see your other comment on this video where you questioned and poked the interviewer's accent! You cannot use your seniority as a crutch to hide your shallowness, which is evident with both your comments. Maybe your generation's focus on matter rather than substance brought us to this, in the first place? "Next time he will be careful"? How condescending and patronising. You really think you are being helpful, aren't you? As someone who is probably way younger, i plead with you to just give your blessings and allow the actual yoddha to defend the rashtra! We do not need "fashion designers" for uniforms, we require valour and bravery. We will adhere to "aachaaram" and etiquette when we as a people and our temples are free from threats. Humble pranam 🙏

I beg to disagree with the speaker on the argument that somehow the Indian diaspora is under threat or is not allowed to practice its culture in the US.
