Prime/preheat the food jar with boiling hot water the night before dumping the water before adding your meal. The heat will hold for a longer period of time.

You should get the Stanley Useful (sandwich ) box and just complete the set.

I have one of these coolers and cannot find the bungee cord on top that holds the thermos in place. Can anyone tell me where I can find a replacement?

I would contact Stanley and see if they can help. I haven’t had to really deal with their customer service yet, so hopefully that’s good.

Not one bit. I love it. Although, to be fair, I haven’t had it filled with ice completely. Just enough to keep my lunch cold.
