Love the in-your-face sound of 70s live concerts! Too much of the modern stuff is too awash in effects, big and boomy. Things just get lost, I hear every single thing these guys are playing. Yeah, sometimes there is some red light distortion, but I like that too 😃 Damn! This band is killin' it!

As great as an electric bass player he is, and for him it's like a toy, it's his acoustic bass playing that is of historical proportions. In fact, he is so head and shoulders above the rest that his bass deserves to be placed in The Smithsonian Institute as a historical artifact. Seeing and listening to him play his upright bass is always a real treat, and his bowing is superlative.

I was there that night with my girlfriend waiting nearby in a cheap hostel because we lost our tickets in Madrid someone lifted them out of my pocket. So I broke into the casino. That's the separate story.
