Yup. Avs probably still win the Cup but at least the Bolts will make it interesting. Reason Avs will prevail is the home altitude advantage, and they have 4 at home. So I'm thinking probably the home teams win all their games. But who knows? That's why we play the games right?

Avs fan here, we played horrible tonight and the lightning did a great job to capitalize in front of their home crowd. Even after last game I wasn’t about to sleep on the lightning for a second, and tonight showed why. This is shaping up to be an incredible series, may the best team win!

I can tell you that IF AVS win next game, it's over for the Bolts. No way will AVS go up 3-1 and lose the next 3 games. Game 4 is going to be very interesting. Honestly, I didn't think either team played all that great last night. AVS just looked really bad like the Bolts did in game 2 and Bolts took advantage of it. Message for BOTH teams. STAY OUT OF THE PENALTY BOX!! Those penalties could be what cost you a game and in turn cost you the Cup.

I started watching again after a 20 year break about 5 years ago. I was initially disgusted with goalie pad sizes ….but that initial reaction to the modern game has been eliminated now…it’s simply the most exciting sport, with the exception of steel darts. I watch highlights of all sports…but nhl hockey is all highlights…I wish they’d extend these another ten minutes for he Stanley cup. Go dynasty. Go tampa.

I knew Tampa wasn't gonna roll over and die at home, but the Avs looked like the Flames against Edmonton. No energy, nervous, shaky, and when they weren't unfortunately the goaltender against them was Andrei Vasilevskiy. This was a good response game from Tampa on the whole, and Colorado needs to do better Game 4 if they want even a chance to beat Tampa in game 4.

Obviously I'm a Tampa fan so I have a bit of bias, but the reason other teams don't play as fast as Colorado isn't because they can't, but rather because its extremely difficult to sustain that over 3 periods of play. Although I will admit they're probably the fastest team overall in the last decade, the only team ironically who comes close was Tampa in 2015/16.

I seriously can't remember the last time Kuemper made a really good save this post-season. You know when the other team gets a breakaway or left wide open in front, there's usually that excited sense of hope that maybe your goalie will make a save? I haven't felt that in a long time. Paul has been a very consistent player for us. Even in game 2 when we got humiliated, he seemed to be the only bright spot. Always plays hard. Even Palat was messing up, and if Palat is messing up the little things, you know we're in for a rough night.

the more I think about it this series reminds me of the 82-83 Stanley Cup final between the New York Islanders and the young fast Edmonton Oilers. Critics etc wrote off the Islanders.... BUT their character and grit with skill rose up above just skill and they transcended sports and almost one 5 in a row .... see this for the first time almost 40 years later..... it's magic to see them silence the critics.... just hope the Kucherev injury doesn't dis rail there drive for 3.........

Part of me doesn't want to see another team ever win 3 in a row BUT I am admire the character, grit and commitment to winning that hasn't been seen in 40 years... shades of the never say die New York Islanders...... you gotta love Tampa's resolve just as the critics are putting them to bed......they seem to have something greater than just a super fast skilled, crisp young team like the Av's.... Both guys landed a good couple of punches in that fight. It’s good to see that Colton actually drops the gloves to fight unlike Maroon the professional hugger lol. I give the W to O’Connor for the fight. That was a good bounce back victory for Tampa which they desperately needed. @@poopoopeepeeable staying even this consistent is rare in the nhl now days no other goalie has done it in years. For example binnington had one incredible run and season and after he has been okay et best but vasy keeps playing in elite level year aftee year.

Not one comment regarding the fact the Avalanche just do not have a goalie, 4/5 that Kuemper let in we’re soft. Not saying Avs dominated by any means, but you switch Vasi and Kuemper and Avs win

This is so obvious it doesn't even need to be said... luckily the Avs have way more firepower... but they can't let the Lightning get as many chances, because for sure Kuemper will let in goals a lot easier than Vasi will. I actually think they should start their backup in the next game, but that's just me.

6 of the 7 goals scored in game 2 were initial shots. Very uncharacteristic of Vasilevsky. I give credit to Colorado for the relentless pressure all game long but the Lightning showed in game 3 how to beat them. Now the Bolts will have to step it another notch or and show the Avs what it takes to win a Stanley Cup.

@@Boltsfan22 exactly cooper made the right changes i think. I need to be a little more complimentary the avs are a great team but as you somewhat mentioned any team can be beat and the bolts showed how to do that. You gotta forecheck win that battle inbetween the blue lines and play good positional hockey against them they don’t really know what to do. And i noticed they had a bolt around the goalie all game now too. They have definitely exposed the avs. I hope Kucherov is ok and plays tomorrow.

Not a fan of either team but Tampa is flexing it’s true muscle and Vasi will be even better game 4. He took responsibility for game 2 and when a player does that, the team will be hard to beat now. The amount of hockey Tampa has played in the last 3 season is insane and still to have that will power is intense. I know this is the cup finals but remember what Vegas did to the Avs last season in Round 2. This series is far from over.

It's amazing how myopic most NHL fans are. When Game 1 went to OT, everyone was saying it was going to 7 games. When Game 2 was a blowout, everyone said an Avalanche sweep. Now people are saying it will at least go to 6 again. The New York Rangers led 2-0 in the last series with Tampa Bay including a dominant 6-2 win. We all know what happened to them.
