Great video 💪 I bought this saw a few months ago. It's actually quite disappointing. It really struggles to get through material. Using a 4Ah battery, I tested it on a 20mm thick pine board, the saw stalled twice. I had to whip out my Bosch GKS190 to complete all the cuts

😁 I must admit I am continually impressed. The best benefit is having them all on the same V20 battery platform. Think ill start saving up for the reciprocating saw next, my old workzone one is starting to get a bit long in the tooth. Thanks for watching Leo, stay safe mate 😁👍

absolutely love mine. you can get adapters for all different battery brands. mine came with another 4amp battery with their promo. the nail gun has been a life changer

😃 I like the idea of a Stanley nail gun 🤔. I'm still using my Ferrex one which is actually really good. But I am really impressed with the V20 range, and having a common battery platform is great. Thanks for watching Jamie 😁👍

😁 Hi Iain, looks like I will need to build some more storage just for my V20 range. I was going to swop them all out for systainers but the Stanley boxes are really quite robust 😁. Thanks for watching 😁👍

Craftsman have the same features and looks like Stanley cordless tools

😁 I have never seen the craftsman tools here in the UK, but as far as I am aware, they are the same tools as Stanley fatmax. I think the batterys are also interchangeable. But as I say I have never seen them in the flesh 😁. Thanks for watching 😁 👍

Can you check how well are the 0° and 45° cut line guides aligned with the blade? That would be quite a useful information along side any adjustments options a tool may have (like the correction for the 0°).

Stanley and dewalt are the same company just a shame the batteries aren’t interchangeable I have mainly dewalt cordless tools and have to say the 54v batteries are a game changer for high consumption tools not sure if they do that voltage battery for Stanley either way I’m sure will give you years of good service, another great video frank 👍
@frankslittleworkshop

😃 Hi mate, hope your well 😁. Yep, lots of links between Stanley /Dewalt and also Black and decker (my old bandsaw was a Dewalt Black and Decker). I don't think Stanley do the higher Voltage at the moment, but I'm sure it will come. For the V20 tools I have the 18V is great but I do prefer the 4Ah batteries. Glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching and stay safe 😁👍

Great vid! What is the guide rail you were using? Can't seem to find a Stanley guide rail, do you need one for straight cuts or just something like what you were using?
@frankslittleworkshop
@frankslittleworkshop 29 күн бұрын
@@Rubberfish55-p2s 😁 Hi Gareth. The guide rail i used was a Parkside one from Lidl, its a good clamp that I use for glue ups as well as a guide rail. You don't really need one for straight cuts but it makes life easier. Thanks for watching 😁 👍

Frank soldiers on even when injured! 😁 I doubt I would have noticed the wobble at that pivit point, so good on you for that one. No Fatmax power tools are available at any store near me.🤨 I saw on Instagram that you took a bite of the apple. Did you edit this video on the new machine? Closing in on 6K subs!👏 Take care.

😁 Hi Chris, hope you are well 😁. Yep, just have to keep powering through with bits of my thumb being held together with sticky tape 😆. I think Stanley Fatmax are more popular here, and in Australia than anywhere else (lucky for me). Yep this was really my first full video on the mac and I must admit I'm really impressed. Editing and rendering are so much quicker and I think the quality is also better, so I think it may be a good move to use the mac. 6k.... bring it on. Its been a long hard slog, but I'm getting there. Thanks for watching Chris, take care mate 😁👍

Nice addition to the workshop Frank. Will this be taking over from the tracksaw? It looks a lot easier to handle across sheet goods.
@frankslittleworkshop
@frankslittleworkshop 7 ай бұрын
😁 Its a lovely thing. Its a lot lighter than the tracksaw so handy for ripping down big sheets. But the tracksaw is probably more accurate than free hand with the Stanley....🤔., unless I can make a track for it 🤔🤔🤔. Now there is an idea 😃. Thanks for watching Ben 😁👍

How long does the battery last

Nice review. I'm considering to buy this saw. Will it work with the older batteries. I have other powertool from Stanley. Fatmax but it's previous version, not V20, and I was wondering whether I can use the battery from that with the saw.
@frankslittleworkshop
@frankslittleworkshop 5 ай бұрын
😁 Hi Lelek, I'm sorry but the old battery platform will NOT fit any of the V20 tools. I have two sets of the older drill and driver which have the previous battery and I have tried ☹. You can however get an adaptor so you can use the old batteries with the new tools... but not the other way around. I hope that info helps 😁. Thanks for watching Lelek 😁👍
