My favorite little detail is in ROTJ where Luke had a green lightsaber instead of a blue one because the blue lightsaber didn't look right in the sarlac scene where the big blue sky screwed with its effect on camera. A single scene caused a single complication which forever canonized green lightsabers as a standard Jedi color. Had that scene not existed or been filmed at night Jedis would still only be using blue lightsabers and the green might never have existed. Since green is my favorite lightsaber color this little fact always stuck with me.

I'd say thats heavily subjective. The only movie of his I could watch was the shining, and that was so bad, Steven King had to do his own version. Wtf is the shining, he kinda lost what the story was about. What IS the shining? Is the place haunted or not, if not who let him out of the pantry. And what was the point of having the black care taker get the shining and run back after catching an airplane to the place and instantly get an axe to the back....how is that supposed to be good

I personally think Stanley Kubrick, while talented, is also highly overrated. Good movies, but not anywhere near as amazing as many people think IMO.
