I started bringing my lunch years ago after doing the math. Approx $15 a day times 5 = $75 a week times 4 = $300 a month. Plus you eat better instead of food that isn't good for you. I have a $25 coffee maker that I program to make my coffee every morning 15 minutes before I leave out. I make my iced coffee the night before. And I meal prep on Sundays. I have been putting the money I use to spend on lunch into savings and investing.

That reminds me of my dad’s Stanley lunch box and thermos set he used every day back in the 70’s.

If your feel the need or want in the future… Maybe with that savings you can invest in a 12 volt fridges and power bank. If you feel like having a fridge. Also an electric hot pot to heat up or cook quick meals is a nice idea. I enjoy those myself. 😊 👍

I have a nicer cooler now and for what I do now an electric hot pot won’t do much 🤔 I should update this video since my life style has changed a bit I mostly work wild land fire now

Great video! We're seeing the same thing in our family! It's not cheap to eat out. $60 to $80 for McDonald's! And they wanna go out every other day! 🤑

Funny man I actually ordered a Stanley lunchbox last week with that same mindset. 2 to 6 bucks to bring lunch and coffee vs 10 to 20 to grab take out haha Solid video my dude

What’s the red cap shirt model ?

I can find the model since I still use the shirt but they don’t make it anymore. The new ones they make are actually really good quality as well

What sizes are those snapware containers? I'm looking at the Stanley 10 qt lunchbox but there aren't many sources online saying what size food containers work with them.

I always bring lunch to work and you need the right gear to do so I love the stanley brand but its not readily available in Canada. I use a molle tctical soft insulated luch bag that hold a water bottle attachment and first aid kit,nI use Thermos soup containers and Yeti tumblers I wish we had more stanley stuff frankly I think its better then Yeti. I have Yeti for hot coffee and I bring aluminum water bottles for year round use. Its much more practical to bring lunch to work and to take the family out for nice dinners when the time calls for it. I can spend in 2 days the same amount of money on take out at work that would last me 7 working shifts in groceries. I am more motivated to make my lunches and save thousands per year and actually be satisfied on the job then always spending money on unhealthy greasy "Road food" that Im always craving for hours later

Yo great comment I agree I do like Stanley more than yeti hope they start offering more stuff to our Canadian friends tho.

In 25yrs of working in the same place with a staff canteen , I have brought only 1 meal there , ever and thats to give that meal , a scotch egg to me wife to taste IT , I knew early on that buying meals over making them is thriple the cost , I ant that rich . So each time you eat out over cooking or making at home is 3x the cost , WHY , easy its $1 for food , $1 for wages & $1 of profit , over going to supermarket and buying food . So I buy just the food , NOT the wages or profit .

Stanley, you get what you pay for, it will outlast all others.
